Founded in 1751 and deemed the “Queen City,” Manchester is one of New England’s largest cities, and is considered one of the nation’s most affordable places to live. This New Hampshire oasis features historic architecture, stunning views of Merrimack River, and fall foliage that will have you snapping photos all season long.
Manchester is one of the fastest-growing cities in New England. It was named the “Number One Small City in the East” by Money Magazine and listed as one of the top places to live and start a business by CNN. Though Manchester is as regal as ever, there is an array of affordable apartments in the city.

Property Ratings at Wood Edge
it's just what I imagined for Manchester it doesn't get any better
Don’t move here. Nothing like the 3d tour. I moved site unseen trusting pictures. Smoking still allowed in building. Can hear everything your neighbors do. Only 2nd and 3rd floor have balcony/patio . I was told I had one and I do not. My package stolen overnight after just being delivered. Cars not belonging to properties driving in and out of parking lot at night when I take my dog to out. No sidewalks or walking paths to walk your fur kid. So uncomfortable and unsafe I’ve considered living below poverty to be able to break my lease
My wife and I have lived here almost five years. Great location! Seven minutes to the Mall of NH, Rte 293, Rte 93, convenience store directly across the street, overall quiet rural area. The one-bedroom units have beautiful peninsulas in the kitchen offering plenty of storage and counter space. Units also come equipped with air conditioners and small dishwashers. They do a nice job landscaping. Maintenance and office staff have always been very responsive. Since we've been here, they've painted the decks, replaced the shutters, updated the hallways with new paint and carpets... They do their best to make Woodedge comfortable, I'll give them that. That being said, our rent has gone up consistently year after year. We're paying $270 more per month than we did five years ago. What really makes us want to leave, however, are a few select people who share the building. The parking lot has become populated with older, beat up cars, some of which just sit for months on end. Our neighbors run through the halls yelling after their kids. The hallways often smell like pot, and some neighbors seem to think the pebble-covered hill between the parking lot and the building is a great spot to dump their trash bags and broken bicycles. While management has always tried to rectify our problems, these particular issues are a result of privately owned units within the community that are not managed by Woodedge. They aren't maintained as well, and as a result seem to get rented out to a lower class of people. We're very disappointed in what this community has turned into because a few bad neighbors had to come in and ruin it for the rest of us. It no longer feels like home, and we're looking forward to relocating.
This is a perfect building if you want the best of both worlds. It's in such a great, rural area of town, but close to the city. All the staff are very helpful, and the neighbors are more than friendly. This building is close to the Mall Of NH, Crystal Lake, local restaurants, and other fun activities for yourself, or your family days.
