Recognized as one of America’s most historic neighborhoods, Germantown dates back centuries all the way to 1683. Even though it’s one of the oldest settlements in the city, Germantown has a relaxed and friendly vibe about it.
And speaking of its historic vanity – the Cliveden Estate’s backyard was the site of the 1777 Battle of Germantown. Along its main thoroughfare, a 2.5-acre rose garden flourishes with brightly-colored blooms at the Wyck House. Locals gather at the Johnson House – which was a stop on the Underground Railroad – to join in the Juneteenth Festival. The Revolutionary Germantown Festival is held every October and features reenactments of the Battle of Germantown.
Outside of their affordable apartments, locals can be found exploring Fernhill Park or dining at delicious eateries. Locals look forward to easy commutes to work by way of two SEPTA rail lines.

Property Ratings at Wood Norton
This place is absolutely amazing! Brand new appliances, clean and pretty rooms, and plenty of space for 2 people (and pets!). In a great part of the city where you get both the access to plenty of stores, restaurants, and historical places, but you can also walk about 10 minutes away to Wissahickon Valley park for hiking and biking! Also, the management team seems great! We mostly worked with Lorraine who was both knowledgeable about the area and quick when it came to helping us along. She made sure we had all of our ducks in a row and that this place was exactly what we wanted. Overall, she was amazing and we have never felt more comfortable working with a management company. We highly recommend!!!
I just moved to Wood Norton from South Florida. It was a trying experience to say the least. I had to look for apartments sight unseen which put up a great challenge. When I came upon Wood Norton, I had a local friend tour with Gianna to see the available apartments. She was incredibly helpful and insightful with all the questions I had and what I was looking for. I found this apartment 2 months before my move-in date (12/30 the worst) but Gianna and Loraine worked together with me to make it happen in the best way possible. From this point on it was a lot of back and forth calling for different things. Loraine was an absolute hero between dealing with my calls and also accommodating anything and everything I needed (sorry Loraine). She went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything necessary to make this move possible. Some notable moments worth mentioning occurred as well. Loraine was able to have someone come out to measure the apartment dimensions to make sure the furniture I was bringing from Florida would fit properly. As well as the drive ended up being a bit chaotic (holiday crazy) and I wasn't able to make my appointment for key pickup at their main office. Loraine was very empathetic with my situation and had the keys put into a lock box at the Wood Norton Apartments so that when I did arrive after hours, I was able to unlock and get my keys to go into my apartment. The apartment is beautiful and identical to the photos. I'm in love with it and the area! It was everything I hoped for. Since these apartments have never been lived in, I expected that there would be a thing or two that needed to be addressed by maintenance. I put in requests on New Year's Eve and, no joke, maintenance showed up on New Year's Day and resolved all of them (wow!). As well as pest control coming by to treat the unit. Megan (Property Management) is very responsive and incredibly kind. She has been on top of any assistance or questions that I have. There are very few instances where you really feel you've encountered exceptional customer service and even rarer from a leasing office/apartment management - especially after you sign. I have never had such a fantastic experience in a move, especially such an intense and stressful one. Thank you so much for everything you've done. I am happy with my choice and I look forward to being a long-term Wood Norton resident!
Overall my experience has been good so far. Everything in my room is brand new. The area is nice as well. The only thing missing is a pool!

Thank you so much for the great review, we're so happy you're loving calling Wood Norton home!
We just resigned our lease and love living here. Our apartment is HUGE and is surrounded by lots of greenspace. Management has been very attentive- we had a clogged shower and a couple other items come up and each time the issue was resolved the same day. That's a big part of why we resigned our lease, plus a dedicated parking spot helps too.
