Located between two rivers and stretched along the bay, Woodbridge is an ideal city for those who enjoy the water -- and shopping, since it is also home to Potomac Mills Mall, one of North Virginia's largest outlet malls. Woodbridge is located along Occoquan Bay and is home to the Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge, a natural area with tidal shorelines, meadows, and marshes, making the city ideal for nature lovers, as well. And for history buffs, Leesylvania State Park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (and is also a great place for boating and fishing). Commuters enjoy a quick, 23 miles to Washington, D.C., making Woodbridge perfect for just about everyone.

Property Ratings at Woodbridge Station
I have lived here for over 6 years, things were okay. The leasing staff is okay, I do find it odd that they do not offer any incentives for lease renewals i.e carpet cleaning. However in the past 2 years, there have been shootings, robberies, and auto thefts. There is one security service here, obviously it's not sufficient. Neighbors in my building consistently steal my Amazon packages, it's a mess. This complex has changed for the worse in recent years. I have been looking for a house frantically, because living here is just horrible.

I have been a resident at this complex for about 4 years now. The apartments are older but for the price, I had decided to stay. This final year has been a nightmare to say the least. The folding washing room door is constantly falling off the hinges. Other residents have brought bugs into the apartment. And just recently the hvac unit caused a leak in the apartment and went into the downstairs unit as well. The leak was so bad that it destroyed my furniture, black mold and mushrooms were growing out of the carpet and the hvac unit room was growing mold. The leasing office did not call to let us know what was going on nor called to apologize for the inconvenience. Our second bedroom is completely not useable as well as our living room. All they have done is bring in dehumidifiers constantly running and keeping the temperature up for 3-4 days and rip up the carpet. Maintenance came in and tried to deny that there was mold growing and said it was due to furniture. And also told us that our ac unit was also never supposed to be turned back on due to the leakage when it is 95+ degrees outside in the middle of august. I would give this complex 0 stars if I could.
Apartment was rat infested for over 7 months out the 12 month lease. Mice running all around the place. Rats outside of apartment. Mainteance didnt do anything but just put traps out. Didn’t close any holes. Leasing office won’t accommodate you. Price was good , very spacious. If you like rodents running over your feet , then you should be fine.
I've lived in apartments for 10 years and never had as much stress as when we lived here. When we first moved in, we had a gas leak that took 2 days to get fixed. They gave us the wrong maintenance number on move in and the office is closed on Sundays (of course we moved in on a Saturday night.) We couldn't hear the people next to us, but heard the ones above us every day we lived there. The guy below us smoked so much that we could smell it through the floor. Even though they have people cleaning outside every day, there was constantly broken glass on the side walks and in the parking lots. They don't provide adequate trash service, so the dumpsters in the lot are constantly overflowing. Michelle and Anthony in the front office were always nice, but everyone else we ever spoke to was always incredibly rude. Our guest bathroom toilet was always clogged. We called maintenance early on and they told us the plumbing was offset and that we should just use less toilet paper/buy a better plunger. At one point we were throwing the toilet paper away instead of flushing it and it would STILL clog so that bathroom was basically unusable. On top of all that, they wanted to up our rent 7% after our first year. Three other tenants in our building were also moving out at the same time as us. I talked to two of them, and both said they were leaving because their rent was going up way too much for the quality of the apartment. Once we moved out, they decided to charge us our entire deposit ($500) + $700 for "carpet damage" from our dog. She peed in the apartment twice in one year and we cleaned it up both times. We paid $300 for a pet deposit + $30 a month, but for whatever reason, that isn't being applied to these "damages". As far as using it to "maintain the dog park" the old tennis court that they called a dog park was a gross joke. Like I said, I've lived in apartments for 10 years and always gotten most of my deposit back, so I'm a considerate tenant. Charging us $1200 for a majority clean apartment is completely unreasonable. We briefly considered renewing our lease to avoid the pain of moving, but now I'm glad we left. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We'll most likely be contacting a lawyer to fight these charges.
This complex has very rude and unwelcoming staff in the office and specifically at the maintenance office. I filled a complaint against the property assistant manager about her rude and unprofessional behavior and now after move-out, they are charging us $1,761 for damages. I am going to hire a lawyer and not pay for any damage that we did not cause. My recommendation to future residents: 1) don't live here. you won't be happy with the staff and the maintenance. 2) you will not get your security deposit back. They will find a way to keep that. 3) If you submit a complaint to the property manager, about any of her staff, she will tell them. From that day on, be ready to face even more hostility from the office.
We lived in this apartment complex for a year. There were regular warnings (emails/circulars) from mgmt about car break-ins, assaults and robberies at the complex, and asking people not to use illegal drugs. This last request had no impact on the drug users in our area. ----- The quality of the buildings is awful. You’ll hear everything the neighbors above and below are doing. Living room, kitchen, bathroom, BEDROOM. It’s beyond what you can imagine. The unit above us had two families living in it (against the rules – mgmt did nothing). That’s 2 couples and 4 kids, and the couples were very active in the bedroom. It sounded like we lived under a brothel. Our light fixtures and bedroom furniture used to shake. We could not get them to stop. Probably because they were stoned most of the time. They liked to smoke pot on the balcony (before/after) and spit chewing tobacco. Sometimes the showers of spit trickled down onto our patio furniture. Complaints about this didn’t resolve the problem. ----- The move-out process was a mess. They only allow move-out inspections between limited hours M-F. If you work in an office, you will have to take time off. BUT DO IT!!! Since our pre-move-out walkthrough had no problems, we expected no problems for final inspection and didn’t attend. BIG MISTAKE! Mgmt promised pics of any damage. In the end, “damage” was found up to the level of our security deposit and no pics were sent until we complained several times. They sent pics of another unit. We complained again. More pics were sent. No way to verify the unit and we couldn’t see any damage, but LESSON LEARNED. If you live at this property, you’ve got to attend the post-move-out walkthrough in person if you want your deposit back. ----- Location: the apartments are set back from US1. It’s in the rough part of Woodbridge. The traffic is a nightmare except between 11pm and 4am. Expect very long traffic jams just to get out of the complex and onto the main road. This added about 20 minutes each way to my commute into DC. Woodbrige VRE is about 1.5 miles away and given the crime level, it’s not recommended to walk. ----- Lastly, if someone parks in your assigned space (happened to us 2 times), you're on your own getting a tow truck to come. "Not security's problem", they told us. Security is one car in the evening and they're useless. Probably why there are so many break-ins. The security car is usually hidden somewhere out of sight and the guard is nowhere to be found.
I'm a new resident to this complex and I must say, the staff: very friendly, very honest, and helpful in a timely manner. Thou I've experience little in the time here, the professionalism is consistent and a pleasant feeling. I am happy to rent in a place where my safety is taken very serious. I strongly recommend this complex for renters. Access to the 95, stores, mall, restaurants, metro, etc. are just some of the advantages. The cons are only for people looking for silence in an active neighborhood. To them I recommend BUY A HOUSE!!!!
I love my building! Its full of young families that work for the governement or military. All our the units are updated with ultra modern decor which I love. Our common areas are very maintained especially the pool area they just builded last year. Its very close to shopping and Washington DC which is a plus. I totally adore my neighborhood.
Rent this close to Washington, DC is never cheap. But Woodbridge Station Apartments are pretty affordable. This is a high crime area, but very little crime within the complex likely due to on-sight security and a high number of Veterans and Active Duty personnel living here. Aggressive towing discourages residents from having visitors, and there is zero grace period for rent payments.
My family and I have been living in our apartment for over a year and are truly proud to call our living space home. With 3 children, it was important to locate an environment that offered family friendly features but was also affordable. Our building is perfectly situated in the middle of a picturesque complex with a direct view of the pool and waterpark, common area, and playground. Amenities include well maintained grounds, pet friendly option, washer and dryer in each unit, extra storage, and large kitchens. With diversity being a wonderful aspect of our community, we are easily able to access a variety of shopping, restaurants, and schools. Our location definitely has an urban feel with a suburb zip code.
We are moving from a two bedroom (do not recommend Rolling Brook apartments unless you deal with Lois. The manager Kendra is never there and her assistant Eileen is a joke! Not the only one who experienced it!!) to a three bedroom apartment at Woodbridge Station apartments. My first impression of the leasing office was that all they are out to get is a renter and don't care how they get it but the leading office staff was way different then that! Everyone in there was nice and polite and took their time to show the apartment and answered all of our questions! Even though the website had huge hiccups as we were filling out our lease, they did not care how many times we had to ask how to get around the website or if a question didn't sound right, how to answer it. Everyone chipped in to help especially when someone got busy with another client. They even stayed after hours to make sure we were all set with our lease and all the info was correct! The apartment is HUGE and there are 12 playgrounds throughout the complex along with grilling areas, a very nice pool/mini water park, bike/walking trails and places to walk your pets!! Everyone was at least one assigned parking space so if you have two cars, you can park in the visitors' spot with your hang tag. I highly recommend these apartments!!! If you treat people with respect and kindness, you will keep renters for life!
I thoroughly enjoy my apartment. It's located in a great area and fantastic school zone. It's extremely spacious. Every room has a light (most apartments in woodbridge need a lamp). The amenities to include hiking trail, swimming pool with splash park, and numerous parks make it a great place to raise my children. I encourage everyone to move here while they still have ability.
I really enjoy living at Woodbridge Station Apartments, it is a safe place for my family. The apartments have a great pool with a splash park and plenty of playgrounds on-site. The office staff is always very pleasant to deal with as well. I will sign another lease when the time comes.
Really great office staff. Always available for maintenance. Quiet and kid friendly.
Good prices but the modern appliances are lacking. The dish washer seems to be the cheapest kind they could find, and the stove is an old gas stove that has no timers or temp gauges but hey, you get what you paid for. For the price, it is a very nice apartment and spacious. There is a bit of a shady crowd that can be seen walking around, but it is Woodbridge so that will be anywhere. The property at least employs a security company to drive around at night to deter crimes. Not too bad of a commute if you work at Belvoir. It will take you about 15-20 minutes in the morning and about 30-35 to get back home which in distance, is only 8 miles.
Great for families, lots of parks for children to play, awesome pool with splash park!! The cost of rent is great for the area, close to the interstate and train station and ride share station. Only downfall is strict rules for parking, but it keeps your spot safe :0)
