Property Ratings at Woodchase Apartments
It’s a great place to live if you love getting woken up at 7:45 (or as early as 7 on some days) to loud, banging construction everyday. Nothing luxurious about that. The office isn’t even open yet. This place sucks!

Our community is currently undergoing renovations. We do realize it can be very bothersome at times. We are working as quickly and diligently as possible to lessen the burden for our tenants.
The 1200 line of apartments backs up to a beautiful gully lush with vegetation all through the summer. The view from the decks feels like it is perpetual evening. The back side of these apartments are full of windows and there is always activity going on. Hummingbirds abound and cardinals are plentiful. Occasionally there is a squirrel scampering up one of the 150 foot trees. The apartments keep their 1984 skeleton but the interiors do feel updated. All appliances are new but have great features. The ice maker, garbage disposal, dishwasher, glass cook top, and separate washer and dryer are great amenities at this price point. Some of the windows do leak but window film will fix the problem. Its not advertised but water is included in the rent. The only major fault with Woodchase is the maintenance staff. Every time I have had an issue, they have bandaged the problem rather than truly fix it. 1) Outlet box support was broken and the box would push into the wall when plugging something in. Their fix was to drive another long screw (there was already one) into a piece of Sheetrock. 2) Bathroom vent fan is unbalanced and is extremely loud when turned on. Their fix was to shoot WD-40 into the bearing and call it good. 3) When I had a major power issue (main service breaker died) on the weekend there was no emergency contact number available. Overall this is a great place to live. it isn't too expensive and has great amenities. Classic Red Hots is a great Lebanese hole in the wall restaurant and is in walking distance. East Oriental Grocery is less than a 5 minute walk and has a fantastic selection and some great fresh produce.
I love my apartment complex, but it isn't perfect... I love it because it's tucked away but yet very close to everything. There is a mall and grocery shopping all with minutes. I think it's the perfect place for older adults and seniors. What isn't perfect is that it's not really kid friendly because we don't have a park area for children. We do have a pool and a dog park though. Outside of that it's very quiet, staff is very friendly and I love to call it home!!!
Love the chesterfield living in Woodchase! We have a traffic light on olive to the entrance so no fighting that left hand turn! You can choose a beautiful wooded view or be close to the clubhouse pool and dog park! Close (walking distance) to groceries, entertainment and bus lines.
I lived here for 1.5 years. The apartments are not built well, meaning you can hear almost everything. I could hear my neighbor walking, using the bathroom, going outside, closing his cabinets. The management company does repair things quickly, although they dont leave notes to tell you its done. However, beware, they will nickle and dime you for everything. You pay a deposit for a garage remote. Lived others places and they never charged. When you move out, they also nickel and dime you, charging you for not clearning ceiling fans or little stuff that was not cleaned when you moved in. Location is great and was best thing about this place. They resealed the driveways and towed residents cars if they were not moved although the apartment complex did not stick to the schedule. Then they tried to charge the residents the fee for the towing.
