Downtown Huntsville encompasses the triangle formed by Interstate 45, State Route 19, and U.S. Highway 190 in the center of Huntsville. It’s here that you’ll find the bulk of the city’s culinary and retail offerings, as well as a diverse mix of rentals including charming and low-lying apartment complexes and single-family homes. Downtown Huntsville is also where you’ll find the Sam Houston Memorial Museum, located on the site of the Houston’s 15-acre homestead and home to several historic buildings. Highway 190 houses a number of taquerias, boutiques, and more. Seeing as Huntsville and the downtown area itself border the Sam Houston National Forest, this is a perfect spot for outdoor lovers looking for a rental near the convenience of the city.

Property Ratings at Woodcreek
The apartments are ancient. The staff is rude and do not care about their residents. They say internet is free but get ready to be sent monthly bills by suddenlink People never pick up after their dogs. They overcharge to do laundry and their machines do not work

Washers and dryers never work. Not enough hot water in the apartments. Too may fees are expected of tenants. Don’t recommend

I'm sorry you have had issues with the laundry center. It is unfortunate and inconvenient when equipment breaks down. We try hard to get repairs done quickly, when it happens. Please contact me directly if you have any issues going forward. I will be happy to discuss it with you personally. woodcreekmgr@comcapp.com
Great for a first apartment. Maintenance always comes through
Property Manager at Woodcreek, Responded To This Review
Thanks so much for the kind words! Our service team works hard to take care of you and our other residents. We appreciate your feedback.
Moved into an Efficiency, second floor this past Summer. Very good all around, cozy, small, polite neighbors, helpful office staff, efficient maintenance guys, great location, super fast internet, and the rent is reasonable. Only a few problems: not very energy efficient, as a lot of heat leaks in in the Summer because the window screens are not great and the balcony door is crooked and does not seal well, so this can up an A/C bill. Cabinet doors are also crooked, and the stove tops are uneven and wiggly. The bathroom is not well ventilated, so if it’s hot outside, it’s gonna be incredibly stuffy in there. I’m not too worried about anyone breaking in, as the balcony is well out of reach, and the front door has two bolts. All in all, good place to stay, would recommend.
I’ve only been here a month and i absolutely love it. Quiet and affordable neighborhood!
Very good location. The rent is affordable, and the staff is very helpful. I really enjoy living here!
For the most part Woodcreek lives up to the pictures seen on the web. I believe I am in an unrenovated apartment and the kitchen/bathroom is old and cheaply made, but definitely functional after a few maintenance requests. When I moved in the master bedroom sink was broken as well as the garbage disposal and dishwasher, but the maintenance man responded quickly and fixed the issues. I would have liked to tour an apartment before leasing but overall it worked out okay. Also it should be noted that in comparison to the other residential (non student) complexes in Huntsville, Woodcreek is by far the most reasonably priced and best built. A very comfortable place to live.
Woodcreek Apartments have beautiful interiors! The helpful and attentive staff work to make you feel right at home.
Their management is amazing! They make me feel right at home.
My husband and I are staying in an efficiency size apartment on the second floor. The stairs are wide enough to get furniture up and down , although you won't need much in an efficiency. Small, but comfortable enough for two people. We've had maintenance issues but they're being taken care off. Bathroom leaves something to be desired but it works for now. A/C works well, never had an issue, just be sure to check the filter when you move in. Kitchen is small, dont expect room for your Kitchen aid and microwave and toaster oven all at once. Easy to move in, the agents are nice and will answer your questions.
I’ve lived here for 2 years. The apartments have big bedrooms and are pretty nice. The buildings are a little older, but they are maintained well. Nothing fancy, but not bad at all. Maintenance is very fast at responding to issues. Overall, I have been content here. HOWEVER: The “laundry facility” here is a joke. I have never seen less than 4/10 washers out of service at a time. They never get fixed. If you go to the office, they’ll refund you the $1.25 you pay for each wash, but I honestly could never keep track of how much money I wasted trying to use washers and dryers that didn’t work (often, there is no out-of-order sign. It was just trial-and-error). Not to mention that you usually have to run the dryers 2 or 3 times to get all your clothes dry. Woodcreek, you really need to fix this issue.
This is the first apartment of my own that I have lived in. I am glad that I chose Woodcreek as my first apartment. They are very responsive to issues or problems of their tenets and maintenance is fast and gets the job done the first time. The management is very professional and accommodating and they show that they care about their tenets. The apartment complex itself is clean, quiet, and in a great location in that it is in walking distance to Sam and H.E.B.
This is the first apartment I have ever lived in, and so far, it has been everything I would want from an apartment complex. I have lived here a short time, but I have loved everything about the apartment from its cleanliness and well-maintained property, to the quick orders for maintenance and the staff's flexibility. Ashley was very helpful with the whole process.
Prior to moving to Woodcreek I took a tour of the property and was immediately pleased. The management staff is amazing and is willing to work with you. My family and I recently moved in and although things weren't perfect upon our move in they are willing to help accomplish that. Woodcreek is located near HEB and Sam Houston State University and isn't far from othee major shopping stores.
I've lived in Huntsville for 4 years now and these are by far my favorite apartments. The office staff is very friendly and I've never had issues with them before. Walking distance to HEB and Sam Houston are a huge plus. I'm sad that I have to leave now because I actually found a place in Huntsville that I enjoyed staying at.
Current Resident here! Stay away from this place. You are better off elsewhere. Management is incompetent and will over promise just to get you to sign a lease or off their back. The maintenance guys will come over your place and just treat your stuff like trash and won't even fix things right or won't even show up. I've been living here for more than a year here and the only reason I stay is because the location is convenient to me. Moreover, there was a flood around March last year and my living room and bedroom got a lot of water. They only replace the carpet in the living room and not the bedroom even though I told them it started to stink. So how's how I live there with a bedroom that permanently smells funny. Also, even though this place is relatively quiet, there's always a lot of stuff going on, like a drug deals on broad daylight at the parking lot or mormons trying to convert you. Do they care? No. Will they care about you? Most likely not! Do yourself a favor and go live somewhere else. Save yourself a headache, you're still on time.
Best apartments ever. Such an easy walk to campus! I never have to worry about the parking or buying a sticker!??????
These apartments are really great! The people who work in the office are very helpful. They made sure that we got into our apartment and answered every question possible. They were patient and caring and made sure that we got the best service. Great place for first apartment renters or families. I would most definitely recommend living here! I am so thankful to be blessed with such a great place to call home.
I lived at Woodcreek apartments for two years while teaching at Sam Houston State University. The office staff, particularly the manager Jaqui, are friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The maintenance staff respond quickly and are also friendly and professional. I have lived all over the US. Nowhere else have I received such fantastic service as I have at Woodcreek. Additionally, the rent is reasonable, and the complex is safe. The grounds are clean and well-maintained. Being close to the HEB also made grocery shopping very convenient. Woodcreek is an outstanding apartment complex!
Can't yet report much experience with living here, but the tour and communications with the leasing office were good enough that it convinced me to sign a lease, and I'm moving in! The office staff are extraordinarily nice, very helpful, even when I was emailing them a jillion times a week with silly questions. Location could not be more convenient, close to university, grocery store, restaurants. Eight-minute walk to local dog park was also a huge selling point for me.
My daughter and I have lived her going on 3 years now and have no complaints. when I started my quest for an apartment I literally looked at all of the communities in Huntsville. Kerri at the office has been here for pretty much as long as I have and she has been excellent in handling my needs. During the summer there is a well maintained pool and its always a blast. The office does activities monthly as well.
We have lived at Woodcreek for the past six months and overall I have to say it has been a great experience. As soon as our hot water heater went out we had maintenance here replacing it the next day even working into the late hours of the evening. It is relatively quiet and the office staff has been amazing with handling issues and are always willing to help. I would reccomend to anyone wanting a nice place in Huntsville especially for the price.
Over all these apartments are not ones you would be happy to show off to your parents. They are old and run down. The staff try to make it like this is a place you want to stay. They say you will love it here and they will do anything to make your stay and enjoyable one. Well the staff tries to be genuine and take care of any issues you may have but they DO fall way short. The maintenance staff is some of the worst I have ever seen. When you do have an issue they just half way do the job so they can get in and get out. They do not seem as if they care one bit about this place at all. There is too much to say about this place on here with out turning this into a bash session so all ill say is try somewhere else before you try here.
