It is located right behind Troy University- very convenient to ride a bike or even walk to class. Apartment is very spacious and I love the new wood floors! Manager and maintenance staff are very friendly and helpful. No complaints here!

Thank you for the positive feedback! We here at Troy Apartments are under new management and maintenance.
The entire complex is completely infested with roaches. Pest control comes once a month. (Sometimes) but does very little to resolve the issues. Spends less than five minutes inside of each apartment, even after numerous complaints to the office. Upon moving in, it looks like no maintenance was done after the former tenet moved out. The fridge was nasty with hair and mold in it, cabinets had a thick syrup substance on the inside and there was hair and mold inside the shower. We have now lived in wooddale for seven months and the roaches are continuously getting worse.
Hey I just moved here and I love it. Ms.Elizabeth is very informative, very happy person and friendly. The best office manager I’ve met in awhile. She genuinely cares about the community , maintenance is great , and the neighbors are very quiet.
I’ve lived at Woodde for over a year and recently they’ve gotten new maintence and management workers. Originally the place had a few maintence issues but lately they’ve improved since changing.
Not HAPPY. There has been a breach in contract on Troy Apartment’s behalf as I was told that my apartment would be ready and I could move in on the 29th of April. It was not ready! It smelt of dead animal, needed to be repainted, and was unlivable! I was nice and gave them the weekend to finish and clean it up. Even though, while waiting for Elizabeth to finish up with her appointment with another customer and give me my keys on the 29th, I noticed the maintenance manager hanging out in his office playing on his phone. If you take my $$ecurity deposit and say you’re going to do something, you need to fulfill that contract!! Today I received information an hour after the apartment office opened today on April 1st, stating that the apartment was STILL not ready. I would have been able to move into other apartments by now. The apartment is still not ready. I want my holding deposit of 490.00 returned to me as soon as possible! She said she couldn’t do that. I haven’t even signed the lease yet! *update* I have been approved to get my security deposit back. Upon calling me and giving me an attitude, Elizabeth STILL wanted to get smart with me about how she and the maintenance manager did less than the bare minimum to get this apartment ready for a paying reasonable resident. I am INCREDIBLY unhappy. DON’T move into these apartments unless you want to deal with folks who have no idea what they’re doing.
Apartments.com, Living here has been very nice. Elizabeth and Clint are the Manager and Maintenance and have been a great help in assisting with the questions and maintenance needed. They have worked hard to work out issues that were not handled in the past. I can rely on them for solving any questions that I have.
Roach infested, terrible management, ignore all complaints/maintenance requests for months, all around terrible experience since I’ve lived there.
I moved into Shady Oaks in 2017 and it was the biggest mistake of my life. I don’t even know where to begin. First issue, ROACHES. The entire complex is completely infested with roaches. I have been to the office countless times and are always ignored. They’re in house pest control is so completely useless I’ve had to hire an outside source that I pay out of my own pocket, and the infestation is so horrible, they’ve said there isn’t much they can do. Whenever I go to complain, they tell me to take it up with the pest control company. If this isn’t enough to make you run, this past August I was out an AC unit (in the middle of summer) for 2 1/2 weeks. It was unbearably hot and it took them forever to have an AC company come look at the problem. The guy came, didn’t fix it, and never came back. Apparently he quit and our apartment management didn’t take the time to even tell us. Then our toilet tank had a crack in it and leaked all over our bathroom. The maintenance guy at the time half way fixed it, then we never saw him again. We still can’t flush our toilet correctly. A few months ago, we noticed that the entire lower wall behind the toilet is covered in mold. After going to the manager, she told me to spray bleach on it. Bleach does not fix the mold problem. It’s still there, and is a huge health concern. And there will still be mold because the toilet is still leaking and was never fixed correctly. From living here for over a year I’ve seen over five different managers. No one knows what’s going on. I can’t convey how completely useless and terrible this apartment complex and their management is.
Been great. A little small but cheapest place in town for a one bed room! Staff is great and friendly!
