About 40 miles north of Dallas and Fort Worth, Denton is an energetic, progressive community in the heart of the DFW Metro. Even by Texas standards, Denton is booming – it is one of the nation’s fastest growing communities. It’s a college town, home to the University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University, but it’s also a hub for business and tourism, located near Lewisville Lake and only a few minutes south of Ray Roberts Lake.
The 35 Denton Music Festival and Denton Arts and Jazz Festival are both signature events with great tunes and dancing. You’ll find tons of things to experience in this suburban city. Spend your days at nearby Lewisville Lake or shop the stores at Golden Triangle Mall.
Local restaurants thrive in the downtown area, like LSA Burger Co. With its unique burgers, rooftop patio bar, and live bands, this Lone Star Attitude-inspired eatery offers a true Texas atmosphere.

I went by there with a friend to view a unit and noticed that a lot of the amenities did not work that is offered to residents such as the equipment in the gym. The indoor pool does not work. The yoga room is not open. When leaving I saw a lot of potholes in the parking lot. It’s a hell no for me

We moved into a dirty apartment. Carpet was full of sand and the office was closed for 3 day weekend, with no one on call. A year later and we are trying to move out, but they wouldn't let us go month to month, they are trying to make us do 60 day move out, even though our lease is over. Texas law states 30 days. There are only 2 overwhelmed employees and they can't figure out what is going on. They are trying to bill us for utilities for August when we moved out the beginning of July. It has been a total nightmare. We've been dealing with this since June. They can't keep employees.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Difficult to contact, while office workers are not unpleasant to talk to, they are exceptionally unhelpful due to the expectations of management. It takes ages for maintenance to do anything, again because of management. For a couple months, there was no on-site maintenance, so even in the case of emergency, there were disproportionately long waits. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.
Short Review: Definitely not the place to stay whatsoever. 100% would NOT recommend it. Long Review (1/3): Here is a list of things that have occurred to me when I lived there for 15 months: 1) There was legitimately a rat/mouse living in my apartment. For at least 13/15 months my roommates and I stayed there, we've seen and heard mouse noises coming from our pantry. Our pantry is where the washer and dryer plug-ins are and the rat has come from there. We had to BEG and call for MONTHS before actual pest control came. The pest control they had provided immediately just looked at our pantry and said "there's nothing I can do, I'm not equipped for this" and left. Then after 2-3 months of calling the apartment complex, begging for higher-up pest control (rodent control), the rodent control man said "this needs to be fixed by the contractors, I can only give a temporary fix.". Called the apartment complex once more and they did nothing, once again. We never had a pantry the entire time living there and despite us calling them repeatedly, they never fixed the issue. 2) Any maintenance issues, even before the pandemic, were handled extremely slowly. They don't read any requests left on the online form you have to submit. I had always checked the box "No permission to enter the apartment, with or without a tenant inside". They have entered my apartment before without permission and it gave me so much anxiety. They also don't tell you when they are coming; they don't give a day or a time frame, they would literally just show up.
This office can’t ever get it right. When we moved out, we called the office to ask for a balance and they said it was $0. Weeks later, we were called by a collections company saying we owe them money. I called the office they apologized the promised to take me out of collections. We sent the check and they received it but I’m still getting calls from collections. I got in touch with the office staff again and guess what? The lady I spoke to on June 23rd 2020 at 1:50pm was so rude. I explained we were getting collections calls again and asked about the check we sent. She didn't even bother to look for it and said they never received it. This was marked as delivered and received by the office staff when we called USPS to confirm. She simply said, well you need to pay the collections agency. She would speak over me and not even let me explain the situation. Our stay at the complex was okay but never really got to use the hot tub or fitness room as there was always one issue or another with equipment. The amenities never really worked, especially the hot tub. The office staff were mostly rude with the exception of a couple employees. I would not recommend this complex at all! Please think twice before signing that contract. We now rent a really nice big house and only pay $300 more in rent monthly. Huge backyard and nice garden :) So worth it! Best of luck to everyone seeking their new home.
My husband and I have been here for four months so far, and we both love it here. I personally have lived in a LOT of different apartment complexes, and comparably, my experience here has been very good. The complex itself is very pretty, with lots of tall trees, bushes, and open areas for people to walk dogs. It's fairly quiet -- so far, no issues with yelling children, constantly barking dogs, etc., even on weekends it stays pretty quiet. We never hear our neighbors in the apartments next to ours either. I personally think the apartments are lovely and very spacious for the price. The master bedroom closet is large enough to fit two full size dressers in and still have lots of room for hanging clothes and to walk around. The guest closet is almost as big. The bathrooms are also a very nice size; by far the biggest bathrooms I've ever had. As far as maintenance goes, I have to say that we've had an entirely different experience than some of the people who commented below, so maybe it's changed recently? We've put in three maintenance requests since we've been here, and each time they've responded promptly and fixed the problem. They didn't respond the same day, but I wasn't expecting that anyway, as it's a large complex and I'm sure they get a lot of requests. They did respond the next day, though. If you put in the request online, it let's you choose the priority: low, normal, or high. Erika in the leasing office was very friendly and helpful with the application process. Thank you, Woodhill!

This complex is the epitome of a slum. Nothing works, and maintenance is absolutely useless. Management continues to promise that things will get fixed/repaired, but it never, ever does. First of all, we were exemplary tenants: Quiet, working professionals that always paid our rent on time. However, after MULTIPLE requests to get our AC fixed (they always claimed they fixed it, but they did not), I had to call the state police and the health department as well as stage a day-long “sit-in” (refusing to leave the office until our AC was either fixed or they put us up in a hotel) (it was over 100 degrees in the apt – a health hazard). The manager of the apartment ended up putting us up in a hotel…very begrudgingly…at their cost…and then ALL OF A SUDDEN, ALMOST MAGICALLY, our AC got fixed! It’s sad that I had to go to the lengths I did to get decent treatment here. It became obvious to us that this apartment complex is used to dealing with students/younger adults/others that don’t know their rights as tenants (e.g., appropriate/healthy living conditions). They collect rents, and then they just sit back while providing nothing (e.g., appropriate/healthy living conditions). I would avoid renting here if at all possible.

People who loved their pet pooped and smell it all day. This is one you can enjoy it. More animal live than human. Strange apartment, most of tenants has at least 2 or 3 dogs! I would say, if you have problem to live other apartment with pet, this is the good one, so you and your pet will interact with other pet owners. for sure not human living standard!
lots of trees. awesome shading. good prices but small kitchen.
My apartment looks amazing but the Maintenance always takes forever to get a hold of. If you have a leak in your apartment good luck getting it taken care of.
These apartments are decent. They recently renovated the exterior; which greatly improved their appeal, but the insides are still outdated and severely past due for renovations.
These apartments are very poor maintenance!! Its hard to get anything fixed!
What stands out most for me about Woodhill Apartments is that beautiful trees, including pink redbud trees, surround them. During summertime you can't miss them! What I also appreciate about living at Woodhill is their friendly staff who goes out of their way to assist tenants.
I lived in this apartment complex for a year. Overall, I wasn't dazzled by the complex as a whole but it definitely wasn't the worst out there. Maintenance was very attentive and always showed up for the 24 hour requests. But it was obvious that the units were dated. I did have a problem with cockroaches for a little bit, but I called maintenance and they came and sprayed so the problem went away. The one big problem I had was with right outside my unit. Every time it rained the entire walkway would flood and leave standing water for a week. It was impossible to walk through without getting soaked. However, I think that this was specific to my unit because the walkways there were lower than the rest of the area. Other than those things I think that the complex was average. I don't know if I would jump at the chance to live there again, but I wouldn't turn it down.
I have enjoyed living at Woodhill. My pets mean the world to me and they have been very accommodating. The management staff are happy to help you with any situation as best they can. Very friendly and responsive, for the most part. The maintenance staff seems thinly stretched as the trash around the recreational and commons areas always seem full to capacity. The appliances are variable in age by apartment. Some have more 'character' than others. Living right off 35E, you might be concerned with the noise of the traffic, but other than a stray siren every once in a while, and some noisy revelers on the weekend, it is quiet and peaceful.
Woodhill is nothing fancy, but has everything you need at an affordable price. Appliances (in my unit at least) are a little older but work great. It's in a safe area and the staff seems to monitor which tenants are too loud, as they don't live here too long. So, overall it's a quiet place. If you put in a service request, maintenance is quick to respond (same day, mostly within the hour). The laundry facility is simple, but I can drop my clothes in the washer and go back to my apartment knowing it will still be there when I get back. The one and only complaint I have is about one rude staff member (Amy), but I don't even think she works there anymore.
I have been living at Woodhill for about two years. They are very clean and friendly the apartments are very spacious. The office staff is always throwing parties they are just very nice people. I have been thinking about renewing my lease for the third time since I like it here so much.
