Located about 27 miles northwest of Detroit, Pontiac is an up-and-coming city brimming with historic charm and a strong sense of community spirit. Named after a chief of the Ottawa tribe, Pontiac was once a center for automobile manufacturing. In fact, Pontiac built an array of cars, trucks, and the renowned bus Civil Rights activist Rosa Parks famously made history on.
After being hit hard by the Great Recession, Pontiac is on the rise. Numerous restaurants, companies, and amenities are setting up shop in Pontiac, including the M1 Concourse—an 87-acre playground for auto enthusiasts. Historic Downtown Pontiac has been revitalized, offering a slew of cafes, shops, and entertainment options for the community, like the historic Flagstar Strand Theatre for the Performing Arts and the Crofoot performance venue.
A bevy of scenic parks provide plenty of space for outdoor recreation in Pontiac, such as Murphy Park, Galloway Lake Park, and Hawthorne Park.

Property Ratings at Woodlake Hills
The process from applying to moving in was so smooth. Office staff is amazing and they’re really patient. They made sure to answer all of my questions. The apartment itself is very beautiful. I love it.
so many things to write about here, i cant even remember them all! i do not recommend living here AT ALL. When I moved in I went at least month without hot water or a functioning stove and 4 months without a screen in the only window in the living room. the owners couldn't care less about how long it takes for maintenance to fix anything and its obvious every time you call. There are no lines in the parking lots so people just park where ever they want, and there is no lighting in almost all of the parking lots so going out to your car at night living in a pretty sketchy area isnt safe. and if you have any issues but cant make it in during office hours, good luck getting anything taken care of cause they say theyll call you back but they never will. There has been broken glass in the parking lot for over a week that maintenance never cleaned up but theyre always driving around (doing what?). there is a security car supposedly driving around every night but that doesnt stop neighbors from being very loud and about 10 cars in the complex were vandalized (where was security then?). nobody cares about the tenants in any aspect, and it shows.
The management is rude and when we go and talk to them, they don't help us with anything. Have complain about the sidewalks not being cleaned or parking spaces not being cleaned this winter. Complained about the flood light hanging from the building took them 2 months to put it back on the building but never fixed it to work, it worked before it came off the building. They keep raising the rent and for what the drive way has pot holes don't do the winter shoveling and don't fix anything. Been a resident for 5 years and since the new management took over its been a nightmare. I can't wait to get out of here.
I have lived here for nearly two months and I've been having mixed feelings about this place. I absolutely love the property. The location is amazing and the actual apartment is exactly what I was looking for. The private entryways are awesome and the washer/dryer inside the apartment is a HUGE bonus! The reason I have mixed feelings is because the front office staff is horrendous. Right off the bat I have been given the run around from them, lied to, and cheated out of my money. I turned in my move-in checklist 3 days after I signed my lease and my issues were not fixed until 30 days later. And that was after phone calls to the management company. When the property manager got in contact with my boyfriend and I regarding our complaints she told us that if we wanted our things fixed we should have asked maintence ourselves. Has anyone else ever heard of that??? She also made it a point to tell my boyfriend that we weren't a priority when it came to getting our things fixed. She lied to us when we moved in about a free month of rent and it came to truth while she was arguing with us and that has yet to be addressed by her or the management company which is frustrating. Like I said, I love the actual apartment. But be prepared to deal with a rude front office. Be prepared to ask lots of questions and make sure to get everything in writing so they can't cheat you out of your money!
I have now lived here 5 years. They have never had a competent office manager. Over the past year the parent management company has restructured everything and made it so that everyone goes to a month to month basis after a one year lease and didn't inform us before hand. They have used this to sky rocket the rent and with in this past year our rent has went up 100$. The last time they gave us one month and 4 days notice of the rent increase. We have to give them 60 days notice of moving out. So there is no way you are with out paying at least one month at the new rate. And there answer when speaking with the parent company Premier was "There's nothing I can do, we were told not to take complaint calls about this and to put it in writing." I am currently getting out of here and filling a complaint with the better business bureau So unless you want your rent raised at every opportunity stay away!!!!!
