Woodland Apartments

My family and I moved into a 1 bedroom and a den on October 11, 2019. Upon moving into the unit, the Property Manager assured me I would have no issues within this unit that could not be addressed within a a business day. Starting in the month of November 2019, a little less than 30 days of living on the property, paying my rental responsibilities and being a responsible tenant, I have had several issues with my water, water leaks and numerous issues with the lack of hot water in my unit on several occasions in addition to having no heat in my unit with my 2 school aged children for 5 days and no emergency maintenance or contractor to rectify the situation over the weekend. Since October 11, 2019, I have contacted Emergency Maintenance 15 plus times for multiple issues, mainly regarding the hot water in my bathroom, and water leaks in my kitchen cabinet and in the den area where my children sleep. My recent experience was today Friday December 27, 2019, I came home at 5:45pm to no hot water, I contacted the emergency maintenance line who advised a technician would respond. The technician came out to my unit, and stated "its not working" as he proceeded to leave out of the door of the apartment and did not return back to my unit to address the issue or to provide any updated information. I have been contacting management and sending emails requesting assistance for the past 2 hours and no one has responded, however the voice recording determines lack of hot water to be an emergency situation. I have contacted the Prince Georges County Code Enforcement Inspector in order to address the issue with the water in my unit and even after violating the property management company we are still experiencing the same issues. My overall experience with Woodland Grove has not been good, and the experience with the property management company BDMG has been even worse, although their mission states they want to create a comfortable place for its residents to call home, this has been the worse housing experience I have experienced so far. Definitely not what I expected per the interaction I had with the property manager Blaire, when I arrived to this property.

Horrible place to live. Ants are everywhere and the water has been brown since last year! They keep blaming it on the water company and seem to only address the issue when I write a review or email them. They haven’t followed up with me for months so I know they are not working on fixing the issue. Please rent elsewhere especially if you have children. The leasing manger even informed me that the property manger asked me to remove my last review. Why would I remove the truth? Says a lot about her character and how she feels about her residents. Don’t let the facelift they did on the parking lot fool you. It floods every time it rains. You can find a better apartment for the less.

Prices go higher every year but nothing changes and nothing gets fixed. Still waiting for them to fix stuff from the yearly check the did in 2017. One maintenance man who tries but he obviously cant do everything on his own in a timely manner. Rental office people are rude. If you tell them that you need something fixed, they'll say okay and pretend to write it down. When you call to follow up, they'll have no recollection. If I could give a 0 i would.

I leave there for 3years in the 3 years I lost 2 car due to a flood that happen in front of my apt. I lost a car May this year, still haven't buy another one, cause its hard paying rent save money for a car also. I'm a single mom with 2kids. Time is hard everymonth. But in general where I leave is quit not a lot of crime going on. I feel safe when my kids go outside to play. The only bad thing is the flood
