Whitsett is a peaceful, rural community sitting just north of Interstate 85, connecting the city to bustling areas nearby such as Greensboro and Burlington. The homes in Whitsett are fairly affordable, and the lots are large with plenty of space between neighbors. The single-family homes and apartments available for rent surrounding Whitsett are affordable as well. Although there aren’t many amenities in town, residents can easily travel to nearby locales for dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Most commuters take the interstate into Greensboro for work and leisure, located just 15 miles west of town.

Property Ratings at Woodland Heights of Burlington
Been living here 11 years. Management is very helpful and friendly and quick to respond to any issues that may arise. The grounds are very nice and maintained year round. We have a security guards that patrol our complex from 10-6am. I highly recommend this complex. Frances H
I’ve lived here for over 10 years and love it! It’s quiet and close to my work, family, and church.
It is very convenient and offers a lot of ways to get places. Just a short drive from Greensboro and Burlington, which makes it very easy to commute to work.
Moved here in October and we have had an amazing experience! Clean complex and very spacious apartment. All of the staff are very helpful and friendly! No complaints
I have lived here since 2021. I've had only good experiences with the office staff, manager and maintenance crew. Everyone who works here has a great personality and is professional. Works quickly to handle any issues that arise. They deal with a lot. Treat them with respect and get respect in return.
The properties are well maintained and the walls are thick enough that I rarely ever hear any neighbors. The staff is always kind and courteous as well. The price is a little high but still comparable to other places in the area.
This is one of the best complexes I have lived at, the people are friendly, very pet and kid friendly, the complex is right next to both towns and the hospital only takes 4 minutes to get to. I like that it's with in minutes of Burlington. They offer a lot more then just basic living. The place is extremely secure over night and I haven't had issues. Fixing things is quick and usually same day. The office staff is amazing and friendly and funny.
I’ve been here for over 4 years and I have no complaints. The office staff is very friendly and maintenance is quick! Definitely a great apartment home :)
I’ve have been living at the Woodland Heights of Burlington for 5 years and 4 months! We came here from New York City! I love the complex and all the amenities it affords us! The office staff is courteous and caring while the maintenance team is helpful and efficient! The rent is very affordable and for that I am extremely thankful because I live on a fixed income! Keep up the great work everyone!
It is a very good place to live, safe and with a very very good administration, which is always available to help us with any problem, and the maintenance department is very professional and very attentive and cordial, I have been living here with my family for 3 years and we feel very good living here.
Exelente Luger piscina gym apartamentos espaciosos. Lugar muy tranquilo
Sadly, I moved into this apartment complex. Here to warn others not to. Have been dealing with ongoing noise issues from my upstairs neighbors at ALL hours of the day. Was told that the apartments have “no sound barriers” which I’ve never heard of. But would have been good to know before moving in. Was also informed my issues are just “apartment living”. Never have I had such issues in my 8 years of renting. They refuse to deal with the issue and instead offered me the ability to break my lease. So rather than deal with the cause of the issue, Im expected to uproot myself in the middle of my lease and pay moving expenses to find some peace and quiet. What a joke. This place is ghetto and poorly ran.
The June 8th, 2024 review is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! I personally moved because it's not worth the price. You think it looks nice for the price BUT the apartments would up being a headache of dealing with unresponsive management to issues that most apartment properties handle and don't shrug their shoulders at. Ghetto neighbors who don't sweep or clean around their doors and let dirt and bugs be close to your door so you have to clean yours and their door. No.
I lived here for a while now, I don't have any issues, all the staff is friendly, my kids have friend's and they place they whole community is friendly and it's enjoyable to walk around chit chatting with others, the best perk is having a carwash station so I really don't have to leave far to get things done. The best of it is, in between Burlington and Greensboro with a local up the road foodlion.
Apartments are next to interstate. All you hear is traffic. I am paying for a balcony I have never used. There is nothing inside the apartment that is worth the price the appliances are low grade. The bathrooms are not special at all. It took a long time for things to get fixed that should have been done before I ever moved in and the pools are small and so is the gym. No assigned parking. They put your rent increase on the door. This to me is very unprofessional. The biggest thing I hate is the traffic all day and all night.
Staff will win you over with smiles, a warm welcome, & initial follow ups, so they can fill an apartment; however, once you're in, and maintenance repairs are needed, it can take many emails, numerous phone calls, office visits, texts to after hours maintenance, with, unfortunately, either a turtle mode response or NO response, which inevitably requires outside intervention to MAKE them comply. I have proof, too long to include here! This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star rating, so far, with my experience. Not sure if it's incompetency or just the landlord dodging responsibilities, which they have a legal obligation to adhere to. Albeit, it's inexcusable.
Property Manager at Woodland Heights of Burlington, Responded To This Review
We would love to hear from you directly as all issues that we have had have been taken care of either by our maintenance staff -at one point yes, they were behind due to short staffing or our construction crew. If you are located on the new side, we have scheduled all matters with our vendors as all or most items are under warranty and have to be scheduled with them. Most companies are still short staffed, and scheduling is not an easy task. Again, please reach out to us directly so we can assist you and answer any questions you may have. Thank you.
I have lived here for years. The new office staff are cold and distant. Poor communication skills and even worse customer service. It takes a LONG time to get repairs made....
Really enjoyed my time at Woodland Heights. Quiet community, neighbors very friendly, support staff always helpful. Would recommend to family and friends. Thanks.
I have only lived here for less than 2 months so far, but I can honestly say this has been a very pleasant place to live. The staff has been wonderful. Amanda went above and beyond before we even moved in to make sure we were taken care of. Upstairs neighbors are a little noisy but that’s expected. Can’t wait for summer so we can enjoy the pool!
