Hello, we have only moved here for 10 days, and my family and I are very comfortable, it is a quiet and pleasant place. The only thing we have struggled with is that our car had a flat tire twice with screws that were lying on the parking lot floor.

So far so good at Woodland Hills! We have lived here for almost a month and I feel really comfortable in our new apartment. I like that the neighbors are nice ans that the apartments and grounds are clean. I LOVE how green and nature filled this area is. Our balcony is huge and its nice to just sit out there and listen to the wind rustle the tree leaves. The pool is nice as well and its well kept too. Parking isn't a hassle either which I appreciate.

This is a pretty quiet place to live. No major complaints besides the level of noise due to the thin walls and floors. You can hear everything your upstairs neighbor says.

Love it so far. Everyone in the office has been so kind, and the property is beautiful. Our cats love watching the birds and squirrels. It’s been perfect
We have lived here almost a year now and we have really enjoyed it. The maintenance team and office staff are so friendly and always willing to help. These are nice, affordable apartments compared to many others I've lived in the past few years. They are also very central in the springs and we are close to so much. Highly recommend living here if you are looking!! They are very dog friendly and there are plenty of spots to walk in the complex along with the dog park and you can walk on the trails across the street or the neighborhood. I'm very happy we had found this apartment when we needed it!

I stayed here for thankfully only 6 months, and they were constantly frustrating. The main issue here is how insanely thin the walls are. Guys, I cannot overstate how thin these walls are. Even if your neighbors aren't being loud or rude, you will hear their phone calls, their TV, their music, their conversations at dinner, the list goes on and on. God forbid you have a neighbor with a dog who barks while they're gone. This isn't an occasional annoyance, it's every.single.day. The walls also insulate poorly - your rooms with windows / glass doors will get VERY cold in winter.. I'm surprised by the reviews lauding the clean grounds, because while I lived here, there was dog poop EVERYWHERE and shattered glass in the parking lot often. Maybe they've fixed this, maybe these reviews are old. Your mileage with neighbors will always vary, but to sum up my short 6 months here: + Had to call the police for two separate domestic violence incidents. (You'll notice that the police are at these apartments a lot, it's a classy place) + Another resident hit my car in the parking lot and then harassed me via phone for several weeks because I wouldn’t help them commit insurance fraud. + Had constant issues with another resident who would blast their music at 3am, and also pound on their ceiling when they heard me walking at 5 in the afternoon. - Management’s (Susan’s, to be specific) solution here is to call the offending neighbor, then said neighbor will act right for a few weeks, and then it all kicks off again. Because management here knows the nasty neighbors are going to stay, and that you're going to move on. Save yourself the effort now, and pick a better apartment. - Keep in mind, YOU might move into the unit I vacated, so they can start harassing you now! Don't take the chance. PROS: + If you want to smash glass in the parking lot, this is the place for you. + If you want to fight your spouse or roommates or whoever, this is the place to have fight night. + Do you hate the idea of neighbors? Great, move into an apartment here and blast your music and pound on their walls, there are no consequences! + They do actually have a squat rack in the gym - honestly pretty nice. + The staff on site (front desk and maintenance especially) were friendly, presumably due to the good night's rest they get because they live elsewhere. CONS: + Well, if you want to have ANY comfort being at home, pick ANYWHERE else in a 5 mile radius.

Hello, We are very sorry to read that you have had a frustrating experience. We realize that apartment living can be difficult when it comes to neighbors and noise. We do our very best to help manage the situations where residents violate our community policies and cause disturbances. We pride ourselves in having a clean and safe community and we always encourage our residents to advise us of any areas of the property that need attention. It's important for us to take this feedback to our team so that we can assess improvements to our process and property. We appreciate you sharing your experience with us and for having been a resident. We wish you the best in your new home. - The Woodland Hills Apartments Team
If you don't like being able to hear your neighbors' conversations word for word, or if you don't like feeling your floors shake from your neighbors moving around, this is not the apartment for you. This complex was obviously built VERY poorly. I could go on and on and on about all of the things I have heard from my neighbors, but it's constant, all day and night. I feel really bad for people moving in here that don't know just how thin the walls and floors are. It has been an absolute nightmare to live here. The grounds are dirty, there is always furniture in front of or behind the dumpsters, NO ONE picks up after their dogs, and there are children constantly in the parking lot running around or riding their bikes, screaming all day. And, of course, it can be heard in your apartment as if they were actually inside with you. Everything can be heard in your apartment as if your neighbors actually lived with you. This place sucks.
Property Manager at Woodland Hills Apartments, Responded To This Review
Hello, We are sorry to hear about your frustrations. We realize that apartment living can have its challenges when dealing with neighbors and noise. If at any point you feel that any of your neighbors are in violation of our noise policies (outlined in the lease agreement), you should definitely reach out to our team and we can work with you on a resolution. Additionally, our maintenance team does its very best to keep our property as clean as possible, but we also must rely on our residents to pick up after their pets. If you know who the offenders are or if there is a specific area of concern, please don't hesitate to let our team know. We would be happy to speak with you anytime, so please feel free to reach out to our team or stop by the office. Thank you.
The management has been terrible. They will tell you anything you want to hear to get you to get an apartment there but as soon as you move in everything they told you is apparently a violation of the lease agreement. They rules do not apply to each house hold so you are completely held to the mercy of other tenants. I live on the second floor below a terrible tenant with 4 kids and 2 dogs. They never follow the noise ordinance rules within the lease. Yet me and my roommate get fines for smoking vape pens on our patio when 6-10 tenants adjacent to us smoke. It’s absolutely ridiculous
Property Manager at Woodland Hills Apartments, Responded To This Review
Hello, We're disappointed to read about your experience living in our community. It's our goal that every resident is happy and that our lease agreement is transparent and the same for every resident. Our manager would be happy to sit down with you and review the agreement in detail so that every aspect is clear. It would be our pleasure. We're sorry to hear that you are frustrated by your upstairs neighbors. It's very important to us that you are comfortable in your home and that your environment is peaceful. If any neighbors are breaking our noise ordinance policies, you can report them to our office and we'll issue lease violations if the issues persist. There is also municipal code in Colorado Springs that can help deal with incessant dog barking, should that become necessary, you can give them a call. Again, we would be happy to discuss all aspects of our contract together so that everything is clear and transparent. We want you to have an enjoyable experience and will do everything we can to work together to make it happen. Thanks for your feedback. - Woodland Hills Apartments Team
We’ve lived here for close to 4 years now, and nobody has ever done anything. Every so often they decide to “re-do” something, and we’re woken up to loud banging and machinery for 2 weeks. The other day they re did our parking lots and towed our car. A few days ago suddenly nobody could smoke outside, or on the balconies we PAY for. Now we can’t grill anywhere but the “club house” which is always crawling with snotty teenagers. We’ve made multiple noise complaints to no avail. The rent here is NOT what you should be paying because the apartments are disgusting. We pay more for an “upgraded” apartment which means they put some sealant on the counter tops and changed the light fixtures. So happy to be moving in a month.

Hello, First of all, thank you very much for having been a valued member of our community for 4 years! We apologize that you were inconvenienced by our infrastructure upgrades and unexpected plumbing and roofing issues that can happen every so often on a property this size. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these times. As an owner managed community, we have a vested interest to ensure that our community is well maintained at all times and consistently evaluate our policies and procedures. With the help and feedback from actively involved members of our community, we have identified and adjusted several of our policies and operating procedures. We understand that you may be upset about our smoking and grilling policies, however, the safety of our residents is paramount. It's our top priority to provide a beautiful and safe community for every resident, we're sorry this affected you so negatively. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors! - Woodland Hills Apartments Team
Writing this review because of the amazing service I received from the front office and maintenance team. Just awesome! Been here since 2017 and it's been great. All of a sudden I had all these issues with my apartment and was so disappointed. Didn't know how it all happened(bad luck) and didn't really have time to deal with it(work!). I called the front office on the way to work and they calmed my nerves and assured me that they would do everything so that I would be comfortable asap. They responded with numerous repairmen throughout the day and fixed everything professionally. I could not believe the service! This is a great place, I like the complex and the people. Beautiful grounds and surroundings. Great amenities and a very relaxing place to live. I love it here.

This place is the worst ive lived. There is water under our apartment floor, it smells like must constantly, we pay way more than all the residents in the buildings for an "upgraded" apartment, that is clearly not upgraded. The office manager is rude and snotty when you have a concern or a problem. Down right horrible customer service. Oh, and if you break your lease, be prepared to pay 4 months rent, or approximately $4500, plus a 60 day notice.

The maintenance people here are great, but the front office manager is a pain in the butt. trying to talk to her is like talking to a snobby aristocrat. The complex was recently purchased by another company and since they have taken over it has been inconvenience after inconvenience. every other week it seems we are being woken up to loud banging or heavy machinery.

We are happy you enjoy the maintenance staff and they do well for you. I do apologize for making you feel as if I do not care, I do. If you would like to come down and talk and we can try and help to make you feel more comfortable in your home, I would be more than pleased to do so. I would also love to talk about the loud banging and machinery noise that you are hearing, we have not been doing any additional work in the apartment homes and would like to get down to the bottom of said noise. You are more than welcome to come down to the office or give me a call at 719-599-9307.

The Village at Woodland Hills is a great place to live for anyone, from young to old, with or without kids, etc. Not only are the facilities and grounds extremely well-maintained and groomed (all the areas with grass, trees, and flowers are bright green, trimmed, and clean), but the pool are was just renovated and looks fantastic. The apartments are well-designed and there's a surprising amount of storage, including the closets in both bedrooms that span the whole length of the wall and are very roomy. There's even a linen closet in the hallway bathroom! The location couldn't be better: right off Union Blvd. and Woodmen Road, and just minutes from Academy Blvd. and I-25 to the west and Powers Blvd to the east. One of my favorite things is having Cottonwood Creek Trail right next to the apartment complex, with the park about 1.5 mi upstream. It's great to be surrounded by nature in the middle of the city.

Cheap complex. Gymnasium is a wreck and all you get is excuses from the office staff. They have jacked the rents so high people are bailing out. The windows are so old it looks like a shanty town as people are boarding up their freezing cold windows in the winter time. The price is not worth the busted up amenities. Watch the trickery on the billing. The monthly price is NOT the true price you will receive on your bill.

We appreciate you taking your time to put in a review. We do apologize for all the inconveniences that we may have caused when we took over, we did do a lot of renovations as soon as we came to Woodland Hills. You can now see all of the renovations in play and the look lovely and are highly enjoyable. We now have the year round in ground hot tub (nice to soak after a long day), the fitness center is more comfortable with more amenities and we made the grounds look like your own little oasis. If you do have any other questions or need anything taken care of in your apartment home, please don't hesitate to contact us.
