Northwest, as its name suggests, is a large community immediately northwest of Downtown Dayton. The area is a mix of rural and suburban with the residential areas situated along the eastern sides of town. Peaceful neighborhoods make up most of the area, and renters have the choice of a variety of affordable low-rise apartments. Despite its rural feel , Northwest is equipped with all the necessities through the retail centers along Highways 49 and 48. More exciting attractions are located just south in the heart of Dayton, and outdoor recreation is abundant thanks to the Miami River and Mad River, both running through Dayton.

Property Ratings at Woodland Hills
This Apartment complex was full of RATS and MICES............they didn't even try to fix the problems and always wanted their rent on time.
A few days ago, I wrote a review complaining about the trash and garbage strewn all over the yards and grounds. Today (7-9-18), I would like to report that the trash has been picked up and old furniture that had been left around the dumpsters for months has been removed. I really appreciate this effort in restoring this apartment complex to a better appearance. Now, what would be REALLY great if the residents who keep throwing their trash out of their cars into the parking spaces and on the lawns, would STOP doing that and take some pride in where we live, what a community this could be. Maybe the management could then be freed up to making repairs to the buildings. This place could be a really nice place to live!
I moved here because it seemed like a nice quiet community..I have lived here for 2 1/2 years and cannot wait to move anywhere else. The management team is nice but the community is not secure. The individual apartment buildings are left unsecured even though residents have repeatedly asked for locks to be replaced on the entrance doors. Management informs us that this is the residents' responsibility. Local police, sheriffs, ambulances, and Highway patrol are here on a daily basis. If you enjoy illegal drugs this is the place for you. The smell of pot fills the hallways and our apartment constantly smells like pot even though we do not smoke. Drug dealers go from building to building making their "deals". Trash is all over the grounds. Just open up your car door or window and throw it out. The dumpsters always are surrounded by trash. The residents don't even attempt to put their trash in them. Children are allowed to "run wild" without adult supervision. They are loud, destructive and disrespectful. The parents seem to be nowhere around. They have "grounds security" consisting of 1 person who is nowhere to be seen. There is no way to contact security on the weekends or nights. The people who move in one day seem to be renting the apartments for others who would not otherwise qualify. The fire extinguishers have been stolen from my building and not been replaced after contacting management several times. The current management team seems to be trying but the job is overwhelming for them. Harvest Properties should be ashamed of themselves. No wonder Woodland Hills' reputation is one of the worst in the area.
I have lived at Woodland Hills Apts for two years now, my lease will be up in August. I am currently looking for another place to rent. The reason I moved here was for the location and the rent was 475 for a decent amount of sq. Footage. Since my renewal my rent has gone up to 490, and is due to increase to 520. I stay in a two bedroom apartment. I've made it my home but I can no longer ignore the poor management. I guess with the rising prices I realize this place is not worth the extra cash. The management has not held up to there part of the bargain. When I moved in here they said it was a gated community, a security guard would would be here, and they were inder heavy renovations. My apartment has been missing the address for two whole years now. I have put in an work order since my move in date at least three times over and to no avail. The gym is a joke, and they didn't open the swimming pool until a few months ago. So for a year and a half its been closed. They have switched management at least three to four times since I've moved in here. Never informing the tenants of the switch. Never taking responsibility for the poor care taking of the property. I would not recommend this place to a friend. I would tell them to please please keep looking it just is not worth the money!
The apartment complex looks much better and it seemed very quiet
This is a nice community, very well taken care of property an excellent management to talk to.
I'VE BEEN A TENANT AT WOODLAND HILLS FOR QUITE A WHILE AND HAVE SEEN MANY TEAMS (EMPLOYEES# COME AND GO AS THEY SHOULD HAVE. RECENTLY, THEY'VE LET GO THE BEST TEAM THAT THIS COMMUNITY HAS EVER HAD IN THE TIME THAT I'VE BEEN A RESIDENT HERE. I WAS INFORMED THAT THEY LET THEM GO ON THE SPOT #UNJUSTLY). THIS TEAM GOT THE JOB DONE, THEY LISTENED AND TREATED US KINDLY. I'M AFRAID NOW THAT WE ARE GOING TO REVERT BACK TO THE OLD MANAGEMENT STYLE AND IF THAT'S THE CASE.....I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR HOUSING.....
