Property Ratings at Woodland House Apartments
Horrible management took over and everything is in disrepair. Leaks in the hallway ceilings and in peoples units, pest and rodent issues, mold, the pool was shut down because it was tested and there was zero chlorine in it. Roaches are abundant. The elevators are ALWAYS broken. Nobody gives any notice before they show up at your door for maintenance. It’s loud and the residents here are constantly skipping out on rent in the middle of the night. Tons of 3 day pay or quit notices on doors all the time. It’s a slum. Endless problems and tons of complaints to the housing dept and environmental dept.
Wish I could stay longer but prices in general are just out of control, I'm bowing out. The management and people who live here are genuinely kind and happy people and it makes a world of difference in quality of living. There's no theft or crime, only the occasional bit of noise which quickly subsides. It's surprisingly uneventful for it's proximity to the highway and major streets, I've never seen or heard anything that crazy happening. Homeless person here or there once in a while, but I get the sense police here tend to herd them out pretty quickly - or maybe they just move on because is this basically just a commuter community. Overall I've felt welcomed here, the staff are always available, receptive, and they are all very reasonable people. The facilities are well laid out and generous, with numerous washer and dryers on every floor, several elevators, an excessive amount of stairwells!, and four gigantic dumpsters that can probably handle all the trash in Los Angeles. Also a pretty nice pool and fitness room and flora.
Very nice, maintenance and management are top-notch. One or 2 bad seeds and that's it. Best place I've ever stayed. That's why I've been here for over 10 years.
Apt is ok..Old fashioned apt. But Management is not really helpful. They do not care much about tenants. Had maintenance issue. 4th day still not fixed. Usually they take unbelievable 3-4 days to fix a maintenance issue. Yes. 3 days is a normal thing here. Now it has started going beyond 3 days. But I have seen Maintenance guy inside the building. But they cannot fix until management inform them. So basically Management or Leasing office people not able to communicate properly to the Maintenance workers. Either they don't have the proper resources or they don't have proper technology. This apt is good as long as you don't need anybody's help. But when you need help Management doesn't really care. Maintenance Emergency after hours is a joke. Phone number itself will never work. You are screwed up if kitchen water flowing out of sink. You have to wait till 9 AM next day. You get what you pay for. Realized after moving into this apt. Other than that of course some cockroach issues.
This place is very nice to stay in the valley. This place is close to pretty much everything you need and right off the freeway which is a big save in avoiding local traffic. Everyone in the management staff is so nice and very responsive to any concerns you have. The management team is flexible to your needs which I have not seen in any other place i stayed. Brianne in the management team is very helpful and is the right person whom you would want to talk to. The remaining staff is very nice too. The apartment units are very spacious unlike other apartments in this area with similar price range. Overall we had a very pleasant stay here and will surely miss this place. I would strongly recommend this place to others looking for a good hassle free stay.
I never do reviews but I just felt I had to! Brianne is in the management office and has been above and beyond with some of the things that had to have been taken care of lately! I have literally lived there since 1994 and have been through a few managers, but she is the first to get back to me when I leave a message, and follows through when she says she is going to do something! She is always in such a good mood when I talk to her, and doesn't ever make me feel bad if I need something done. She is exceptional and I am so glad they decided to go with her! This will 100% lead me to recommend Woodland House if anyone is looking for an apartment! The grounds look great, plus the pool has just been redone and it I just truly like living there!!
This place is so nice! Very quiet and one of the cheapest prices in woodland hills area. It developing wonderful shops near by. Everything is close, near a park, shopping centers like Costco, target, a wonderful new Westfield mall called the village. In the apartment building are wonderful neighbors. Management is great they have people. They live one property as well. You won't regret living here.
