Property Ratings at Woodland Reserve Apartments
Les Chateaux has the perfect mix: a quiet neighborhood feel, but less than 10 mins drive or bus ride to campus and downtown. Nestled between 2 parks - Hoyt Park is a hidden gem. Lots of natural light, very large bedrooms, and responsive management. Perfect spot for young professionals and grad/professional students
Les Chateaux is a great option in almost every way. Location is fantastic with walkable (15 mins) or short-trip shopping (5 mins). Bus stop right there. In a very good school district and big outdoor space onsite for playing plus two really great wooded parks right next door -- recommended for people with kids. (When I was there with my elementary school kid there were other kids in the complex from the same school to play with which was really great.) Lots of grad students living there too which makes for a quiet, pleasant environment. Free parking in lot or pay a little extra for a garage. Pets allowed. Coin laundry on-site. Price very reasonable for the area. No, you won't get granite countertops or fancy cabinets, and the bathrooms are circa 1980s, but management is very responsive to calls for repairs & the apartments are big with lots of storage. I have lived in many cities and in many apartments, and Les Chateux is possibly the best location for the money I have ever seen anywhere, especially if you want both nature across the street and the ability to walk to a movie or shopping!
I love Les Chateaux! It is a super affordable and great place to live in Madison. It's super close to the hospital area, grocery stores, target, and the bus line. Surrounded by trees and close to two parks, it's a great place for singles and families alike. Free street parking is pretty hard to come by, so it's a huge plus! Whenever anything goes wrong, maintenance always fixes it quickly. It's really nice to have central air, spacious living rooms, and a great deck. All the neighbors are friendly, and the area is incredibly safe. Overall great place to live!
