Canton’s most recognizable landmark is the Pro Football Hall of Fame, a shrine to the legends of the game and one of the state’s biggest tourism destinations. The annual Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival is the city’s flagship community event, featuring a parade, cook-offs, a hot air balloon festival, and the inter-league exhibition game at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
The Canton Arts District has grown into one of the city’s signature attractions, a popular section of Downtown full of studios, galleries, and performance venues. The growth of the Arts District has also spurred renewed interest in Downtown, which has seen a new crop of restaurants, coffeehouses, bars, and breweries appear in recent years.

Property Ratings at Woodlawn Village
I have been spending a lot of time researching apartments specifically looking for a smoke free community for my mother. This apartment is listed with nearly all of their properties being smoke free. She just called them and they stated they allow smoking at all of their communities. These listings should be properly updated.
My father lived here for 20 years. The lease has such unreasonable items attached to the security deposit that you will never get it back. Just assume it is a non-refundable fee. We tried for weeks to schedule a walk-through. Secretarial staff is incompetent. The smell of curry when you entered his building was nauseating. He also had to pack up all of his cupboards the week of Christmas so his apartment could be fumigated for cockroaches. The pictures are extremely flattering.
Yes, they have a nice pool and clubhouse, and what could pass as a 'workout room', but the overall policies regarding use of these facilities, added on fees, and rental agreements make what would appear as a great complex to become significantly less so over time. Be prepared to spend $100 for every lost key, a $50 late fee when auto-pay fails to continue when re-signing your lease, and have a wonderful pamphlet sent to your door making it known that Woodlawn Village 'does not encourage guests' to visit you- or accompany you to the pool. Those that can maneuver a bureaucracy like this should feel at home. Otherwise, the grounds are immaculate, and the neighbors are friendly and quiet.
Apartments are a little pricey when considering how dated they are, however, I will gladly pay the additional rent due to the wonderful neighborhood. Some of the older buildings include cable, water, and gas for no extra charge. The newer buildings, there are no amenities which are included (water, gas, electric, cable). The neighborhood is wonderful, a real community in a safe area, lots to do outdoors, great pool and tennis court. There is a Neighborhood Watch including regular police patrols. Neighborhood is in Jackson Township within Canton, close to everything.
