Some of the finest homes in the South are located in Hoover/Vestavia Hills, and that’s an impressive feat. This trendy Birmingham neighborhood has a little bit of everything, architecturally speaking, from Victorian to contemporary. But that’s not all you’ll love about Hoover/Vestavia Hills, because this neighborhood is also home to fantastic shopping, great parks, and top-rated schools. Riverchase Galleria, a large mall with anchors like Von Maur and Macy’s, is located off Montgomery Highway in Hoover. The popular Brookwood Mall is at the north end of Vestavia Hills, providing even more shopping and dining options. Golfers will find their place at Vestavia Country Club, and hikers will enjoy the nearby Moss Rock Preserve, and those who love art and nature can soak up both at Aldridge Gardens.
Hoover/Vestavia Hills is located about six miles south of Downtown Birmingham, and commuters can reach the city in less than 15 minutes.

Property Ratings at Woodmere Creek Apartments
We’re 9 months into our 12-month lease and we’ve taken on substantial flooding 4 times. We keep being told that they’re going to have someone “fix” it, but that doesn’t mean much around here. We also had our AC go out earlier in the summer, but it was a month before they had someone out to “fix” it. In the middle of the summer. And even then, it wasn’t fixed. We turned it on one night only to wake up to a 54 degree apt. And then it was another week or two before someone came and actually fixed it. The roofing company that this complex hired to repair the roofs left trash everywhere, which resulted in me stepping on a roofing nail right outside my apt. Thank God it just wasn’t my dog that stepped on one. There is a history of hiring cheap labor at the expense of the residents, and I do not recommend living here. We’ll be moving out as soon as possible.

I am relocating to Hoover for work and have looked at this property online a few times, I even drove it a few times, to get a feel for the location and the distance to where I'll be working. I actually liked it and notified the property to let them know I was interested and seeing the units. I never received a reply and decided after a couple weeks to stop by. I had narrowed my choices down to 3 or 4 possible locations and surprisingly, Woodmere was at the top of the list. Upon arriving at the property, the lady sitting at the desk did greet me but made no effort to get up from her desk or formally welcome me to the property. Being that I am a hospitality professional and training manager, this was surprising, I noted that I was interested in looking at a unit and she stated that it's by appointment only. (Again, I sent them an email and never heard back) Nevertheless, I inquired about a 2 bedroom unit, she looked at her paperwork, asked about move-in dates and she rambled off some numbers, jotted them down on a piece of paper and said, let me know just before or right after I apply, so that she could check to see if the unit it's still available. All the time not really acting as if she was really interested in me possibly being a resident. I find this very disheartening because I actually was looking forward to seeing the unit and then filling out the application. Since I am relocating, I want to have everything settled and in-place prior to my return on September 10th. I am not going to imply that race could be a reason why she showed no interest, however it is the feeling that I felt while talking with her. If this is how the staff acts in every position on the complex, I can truly say, that I am glad that I did not complete the online application prior to stopping by. I would have wasted my money, time and effort by.. Woodmere Creek, needs to implement a diversity and hospitality training session in their new hire training process. Guest relations and building relationships (at whatever level) is the difference between being good and being great. The property and grounds are very nice but the staff needs some serious work. I can assure you that I will not be applying to this complex and will be telling everyone looking to relocate or move to not even consider this as a place to call home.

I have lived in this apartment complex going on 3 years now. The office personnel is very incompetent when it comes to customer satisfaction. The package delivery system is nonexistent and unreliable. They have a closet where packages are delivered and unsecured. It is based on an honor system where residents can freely come to pick up packages. I have had plenty of occasions where my packages have come up missing because obviously, other residents are taking packages that do not belong to them. I have complained multiple times but the office says they are "not reliable."
I am updating my review after living at Woodmere Creek for 6 months. What I LOVE: 1. The staff are friendly, issues are resolved quickly, and communication is great. I love that the office line has after-hours options for emergencies. 2. The views! The apartments are nestled in the hills of Vestavia, so they maintain a rural feel without compromising convenience. You can get to UAB, the Galleria, and the Summit within 10 min with easy access to the major interstates and highways. 3. It's so quiet here. I rarely hear my neighbors, and there is absolutely no interstate noise from my apartment, even with the patio door open. 4. I feel safe. Parking is well-lit. The apartments are facing one another, so it's not easy for someone to sneak around. As for outdoor activities, the large grassy area out front keeps you away from the traffic. I've been able to keep up my running, walking, and biking here. 5. The hardwood and stainless steel are so easy to clean, and the apartment is energy efficient. 6. The complex is very pet-friendly! There will be irresponsible pet owners in even the finest neighborhoods, but most people I meet here are considerate. If you want something less pet-friendly, ask about their sister property, which has a laundry facility onsite!
I moved in August 2016 to my one bedroom apartment. It's quiet which is one of my top priorities. my experience has been great so far. i give it five stars!!
I just moved in over the summer and I'm in love! I live in what the leasing office called the 'Arlington' 1bed/1bath apartment. I actually saw the apartment style before I decided on where I wanted to live. I was told that was amazing cause their 1bed/1bath was rare to see because, and I quote "they are like gold/platinum around here and this area!". Anyway, the leasing/management staff was amazing and so friendly! The joked around and even said they were 'crazy' and hopefully I wouldn't mind! Lol! One of the biggest selling points to me was the pool! It's saltwater! Plus, they just opened their new fitness center! All in all, the complex looks amazing and kept up! I strongly recommend this apartment complex to anyone who is looking for a quiet, well-established apparent complex!
I moved to Birmingham 3 years ago, and I moved into a studio apartment at Woodmere Creek. I loved the location of the apartment, the setup, my neighbors, everything. Though I had a few problems arise, they were taken care of in a timely manner when possible. I lived in that apartment for 2 years before deciding I had "outgrown" it and had accumulated too much stuff to be in that small a space. Because at the time I was looking to move into a 1 bedroom Woodmere Creek had no open 1 bedroom apartments, I looked elsewhere. I found nothing that I deemed acceptable in comparison to where I had been living, and particularly not for the price. Luckily, a 1 bedroom unit opened up at Woodmere and they were able to transfer me over to that apartment seamlessly. I have now been in this apartment for a year and I still love living here. I'm so happy I stayed with Woodmere Creek. There are lots of renovations going on as they are constantly trying to make the community even better. I love using the pool area, and the new workout facility is great! I use it all the time! Everyone in the leasing office knows me and talk to me just like I'm a friend. They even know my dog and offer her a treat when she walks to the office with me. Very friendly and welcoming community. Let's face it, problems are going to arise anywhere....just ask a homeowner (who has to pay for all of the repairs they have to have done....), but I haven't had a problem here that hasn't been resolved.
Woodmere Creek has been wonderful! Every work order that I have placed has been responded to within 24 hours. Landscaping always looks nice and clean, and my wife and I have enjoyed how clean the pool area stays. The new exercise room recently built is also a nice commodity. When my wife and I got married and I needed an upgrade from my studio apartment, the staff was very nice, professional, and helpful in making this adjustment and got us into a new apartment in very quickly. The location is GREAT. Being a student at UAB, it’s a quick and easy drive to campus, as well as close to anything else I may need. I always see the staff up and around the complex which is very comforting and reassuring, they appear to work very hard making sure things are in order and their tenants are well taken care of. Again, the staff has been WONDERFUL when responding to any questions or concerns, very professional, kind, and eager to work with and please tenants. I would strongly recommend Woodmere Creek Apartments to anyone!
Woodmere Creek is in a great location as it close to the mall and great restaurants. The gym and pool area has been newly renovated. It has a gated entrance and I have not had any safety issues. I have lived there for two years and I would recommend this property to anyone. My experience with staff has always been polite and professional. If you are looking for a great, convenient location, Woodmere Creek is the place!
I have lived here for a little while now and the apartments are truly fantastic for the price. Management is awesome and truly understand your needs. They are willing to work with you to make it the best place to live. Maintenance gets things done in a timely manner, especially with the abundance of apartments on the complex. These are definitely worth the look and the price. A fantastic cable and internet package are included in the rent, so you don't have to worry about getting a separate bill and all the nonsense that comes along with set up fees! Check them out!
My family has lived here at woodmere creek for almost 3 years now. the office staff is always helpful and we haven't had many maintenance issues. If we have any issues they have always been handled in a timely manner. this is a great apartment complex and it's close to everything downtown! Great for college students and for families. Again, we love it here.
I used to pay SO MUCH MONEY at the local gym, and now I don't have to. Management installed a brand new exercise room that is awesome. The location of the complex is right off 65 and Lakeshore, so its easily accessible. Awesome.
Well, to start things off, our "inspected and ready" apartment had flooding from the ceiling! It looked like the set from "The Ring". There was an abundant amount of mold growing in the apartment as well. We were taken back to the leasing office and given another apartment. For the trouble we were upgraded to "stainless steal" appliances which are actually just grey plastic, and "wood flooring" which is actually just laminate on top of concrete. A month or two into the lease, we noticed all of our wood surfaces such as our cabinets were covered in a fuzzy white mold, and the bathrooms had black mold in them. After several attempts to get the problem solved (one of which involved them coming and wiping the mold off with toilet paper and throwing it in the trash can) they finally brought us dehumidifier that reeked of cigarettes. It gave me a headache just being in the same area as it. We had to leave it outside for days so the stench wouldn't be as bad. Finally we brought it back inside and it seemed to be effective at controlling the humidity and mold levels. Unfortunately our apartment is located sub-level and after even the tiniest rain we get a pretty impressive lake front property. Maintenance usually responded within a couple of days, but really never offered good solutions to our problems. Many of the things we listed in our report before we took possession of the apartment were left unfixed ( warped cabinet shelves, stained counter tops). One good thing about Woodmere Creek is its location. It is very quick to get access to the interstate.
Looking for an apartment complex with rude front office staff and completely unreliable repair services? I have the place for you! Do not be fooled by the promises that "we will make sure this gets done right away". Several repair requests have gone unanswered. The front desk personnel will be rude and insulting to your face and I've walked in more than once to hear them talking badly about other tenants. To give them their due, the complex is kept clean and it is quite safe and quiet.
Great location, good layouts, hardfloors throughout.
Maintenance is SLOW and doesn't care. Management is overwhelmed by renovations. Love the neighborhood and the neighbors, but the newer tenants are questionable. Party on Sat night in the parking lot and beer bottles left ... yuck.
