Property Ratings at Woodmill Apartment Homes
Choosing to live at Woodmill Apts in Dover is a decision we will not regret. Combining a quiet community, a beautiful setting with trees, a great value, and an AMAZING staff (Susana, Anna, the maintenance team), we feel right at home. Anything we ask for gets taken care of promptly, and the communication is spot on. Isn’t this all we ask for as residents? Oh, and one more thing, we love our apt!

I have been living at Woodmill Apartments for almost 4 years and I have had the best experiences with the staff whenever I have questions or need repairs fixed. The staff are very knowledgeable and professional and always provide me with excellent service within a timely manner. This is a total upgrade from my last apartment and would 100 percent recommend to friends and family.
I've had such a positive experience living in this apartment community over the past year. The location truly cannot be beat - it's situated in a lovely, quiet residential neighborhood that's just a short walk away from some of the best shops and restaurants in town. Plus, it's only a quick drive away from major highways and public transportation, making it incredibly easy to get around. The apartment itself is also wonderful. It's spacious, modern, and well-maintained, with beautiful natural light that streams in through the large windows. I love having a separate dining area and a full kitchen with all the amenities I need to cook and entertain. The in-unit washer and dryer are also a huge plus, making laundry day a breeze. But what really sets this apartment apart are the amenities. The gym is fantastic, with state-of-the-art equipment that's always clean and well-maintained. The pool is also lovely, with plenty of lounging chairs and a beautiful view of the surrounding area. I really appreciate the community clubhouse as well - it's a great spot for hosting parties or just hanging out with friends and neighbors. Lastly, I have to give a shout-out to the staff. The leasing office team is always welcoming and friendly, and the maintenance team is incredibly responsive. Whenever I've had an issue or needed something fixed, they've been there in a flash, ready to help. Overall, I can't recommend this apartment community highly enough. It's the perfect blend of location, comfort, and convenience, and the staff truly goes above and beyond to make residents feel at home.
My wife and I have lived here for almost three years, in D building. The neighborhood is generally quiet. The apartments are a good value for the cost in my opinion and the location is great, very close to shopping, with easy access to Dover attractions. We have had minimal maintenance issues, but whenever something has come up the folks in the office and the maintenance crew are very responsive and helpful. Would recommend
I love the layout of my apartment especially with my own w/d. Maintenance is very good with responding to my requests. They resolve within 24 hours from submitting a request.
I have been in Woodmill Apartments for about six months now and I have an over all satisfaction about everything so far so good. I think Woodmill Apartments is the place to be. It’s professionally managed and the tenants are good because I have not noticed nor witnessed any form of crime. My view though. Cheers Ven. Dr. Sullivan S. B. Odike
I was on the hunt to find an apartment that was in a convenient location, spacious, comfortable, well maintained, secure and offered amenities such as a pool, gym and clubhouse! After my search I met with a professional, friendly staff! We did our tour and I was amazed of the square footage, upgrades and the double sliding doors that connected the master bedroom and living room. The storage, cabinets, walk-in closets and upgraded bathrooms was another lovely bonus! I was done looking and now enjoy living here with a peace of mind!
I've been here about 2 years. The property is in dire need of an upgrade. I have a window that leaks when it rains and 1 window with street access will not lock. Seemed safe and boring, just the way I like it at first. I've since witnessed a shootout. A friend's car was nearly broken into while she was in the car with her son thankfully her door was locked and she was able to pull off. Now i watch my wife like a hawk for her safety. Kids run through the halls and cause mischief. A cctv system needs to be installed.
I moved into Woodmill Apts last year and have had nothing but good experiences since then. The office staff always greet with a smile and offer to help; the maintenance and carpentry staffs are friendly, capable and go out of their way to help. With bright, roomy apartments, a playground for kids, a dog park, outdoor pool, clubhouse and gym, Woodmill has all I could need. Groceries, restaurants, pharmacies, hardware, gas, etc. are all a 5-minute drive away. I'm glad I chose to live here.
My husband and I first moved in here in January. Neighbors are warm and welcoming. There is a decent dog park for us to take our dog, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I would recommend Woodmill apartments to anyone
I have been at Woodmill for 3 years now. I was a newly single mom looking for a quiet, clean and safe place for me and my son. We found this at Woodmill. The amenities and in apartment washer & dryer are a huge plus!! Especially the pool. My son spends most of his summer at the pool. Also the staff in the leasing office are always so friendly and helpful. We love it here.
Overall the apartment lay out is good. Its nice to have your own washer/dryer. The maintenance does a good job in making sure your needs are met. Only downside is the walls are very thin.
Woodmill's maintenance and management team is great. They're response to any request/complaints are resolved within 24 hours.
This property has got to be one of the oldest, out of date properties in the state. There are a lot of Marijuana smokers which poses a threat to other tenants since the ventilation is pretty much shared across all apartment units. If you are military, do NOT rent here as you have a very high chance of testing positive for THC (against the lease contracts but management/police wont investigate). Another issue is the off leash Dog problem. There have been off leash Pitbull's and other dogs roaming around. Lastly, it is a pretty bad area. Not but 2 minutes down the road I've seen 3 T-bone collisions, Profane things being done in the streets via crack fiends and multiple police running through the neighborhood, NOT a family friendly place. Management plays games on the phone and doesn't take any inquiry seriously. The women in the office acted and seemed extremely nice when I first arrived but all it is, is a worm on a hook to get you into contract. As of March 2021...Stay Away if you can afford it.
Do not rent here. The Property Manager lacks customer service and is unfit to manage a complex. A real manager handles issues and resolves issues for their tenants. Instead of being treated like a customer, you are treated like another number to add to their bottom line. The management company needs to send their on-site staff to training especially the manager who lacks the basics of emotional intelligence. I have been a renter for years, and this by far has been the worst experience. Maintenance issues continue to be unresolved and when you want to address this to the manager, she doesn't care.
Woodmil apartment has everything that makes you feel welcomed. They have a gym, outdoor pool, and a park for your kids also a park for your dog. The apartments are very spacious with plenty space for all your personal items. I just feel do comfortable there
I previously lived in Woodmill over eight years ago, and from what I remembered it was a great experience. Due to recent circumstances I decided to move back to the complex. I loved that Woodmill gives tenants a few options for their security deposits, because other places I was looking at I would've had to pay a full months deposit. The day I went to sign my lease I found out that the apartment that I supposed to be moving into was not ready. I had to take the next apartment that was available because I was already moved out of my townhouse. Before I signed the lease I went to go look at the apartment and notice the carpets looked really nice and clean, but there were doors, handles and cabinets that needed to be fixed and it did not look like the apartment was cleaned very well after the last tenant left. But because of my timeline I had to take it. I made notes within the first two weeks of repairs that needed to be done. It took maintaince over a week and a half to come out and fix them. That itself was pretty frustrating. One closet doors did not get fixed until over five month later after I moved in. I am dissatisfied with that aspect of my experience living here. However I do like the area that I am in. It is very quite here. Sometimes I get in late and I feel safe walking up to my building at night. Plus there are a few stores and restaurants that are walking distance, and that can be very convenient. I do not love it here, but I don't hate it either. I was recommended by a friend who lives here and her experience has been nothing but good. I don't know why my time here was different but, sometimes you have to take the good with the bad when you are in a rush. My advice is if you're moving it is best to take your and really see where you are moving because it is the place that you will call home.
the staff that work here are wonderful and extremely helpful. The maitinence guys are so wonderful. Aside from noisy neighbors I would gladly stay here for a long time.
We originally chose to live in an apartment since we moved to Delaware from out of state... we thought we would be here for just a year and switch to a house... but we thought wrong; we love it. The staff here is friendly, and responds to maintenance requests in an extremely timely manner. Military discount is definitely appreciated. The pool and fenced-in dog park are well kept. We appreciate the fact that they chose to renovated the insides of the apartments, rather than luring customers with fresh siding (we looked at a couple other options that looked beautiful on the outside, but absolute garbage inside.) We love the convenience of our garage (with electric) as well. Just signed another lease, and will arguably do the same until we purchase a home. While this review wasn't the epitome of "clever" ...it was honest.
My husband and I lived here when we first moved out on our own. We lived in the Spruce Deluxe model and for the two of us, it was absolutely perfect. I have yet to find an apartment to match the counter and cabinet space that this kitchen had. We loved living here! Whenever we had a problem, maintenance came right out to fix it, they even left a detailed note every time of the problem and exactly what they did to resolve the issue. The office staff was very nice. At the time we were looking for a place, we were 18 years old, most office staff in a majority of the apartments we looked at wanted to give us the time of day. That was not the case here, they treated us with the same respect as someone twice our age looking at the apartment. There are 2 other communities in Dover with the same layout and amenities as Woodmill, but we choose Woodmill because of their kind office staff. This is also a great location. When we moved down here, we knew nothing about the Dover area. Woodmill is within 15 minutes of everything you could need in Dover and West Dover is a nicer area that you would want to be in! It's nestled in a quiet neighborhood and if you didn't know it was there you would miss it!!
