Property Ratings at Woodmont Townsquare
I wouldn't recommend living here and encourage you to look elsewhere. The price gouging is disgraceful and management does nothing about noise complaints. When my upstairs neighbor has parties, light fixture frames have literally fallen from my ceiling due to the amount of stomping/jumping. I wish I was kidding. Months ago, management announced that they would be assigning spots due to the parking issues and there hasn't been a peep about it since. Police are also here often as others have mentioned.
This apartment complex has a myriad of problems, for starters the leasing office has recently announced a new parking layout/format... the only issue is they sent out a timeline for the work to be completed and only one section has been done (according to their schedule they are two weeks behind! yikes!) Always a constant police presence in the neighborhood as well so that's fun i guess. be prepared to constantly here what would seem to be fast and furious 10 being filmed outside as well.. The bugs are out of control (i don't think they have any pest control and if they do it isn't working at all) and recently I have been seeing mice and rodents around the buildings. Additionally, there are some dogs who are being abused in this complex and the leasing office has done nothing... multiple tenants don't walk their dogs and just leave them on their balcony for extended periods of time!
The outrageous rent, the numerous fees they dont tell you about on top of the rent, no parking, trash and dog crap everywhere. Oh and amenities, what a joke. Everything is broken and you're lucky if you can get a grill to even work. You're even luckier if you can get into your building since the doors have been broken and constantly jam. Add that to the paper thin walls, and well your rolling in the luxury. better hope your neighbors don't snore. If they do, you'll hear it. The best thing about this place is whoever took the pictures ... now they deserve an award. Trust me, theres a reason they wont actually show you the apartment you're actually renting and will only take you through the "model". After the last six months of hearing my neighbors dog yap 12 hours a day I am counting down the days until my lease is over.
I find it easier to make a list of the things wrong in this apartment complex as there are many. -Parking (bad system, worse enforcement of rules) -Noise (walls are very thin, hear everything outside apartment and the building, lots of loud cars as well) -location (people constantly speeding and again loud cars in and out all the time) -Poor Management -Price gouging (raising rent over $500 for my same apartment in only a year) -Significant Police presence (constantly in and out, good amount of ambulance’s too but that can’t be controlled!) -New townhomes behind the apartments take parking from apartment complex (parking is already awful so it’s exacerbated) -No enforcement of rules in lease agreement regarding noise, trash, etc. I’m sure there’s more but you get the point, for being a luxury complex they severely lack any type of control, prices are ridiculous for all shortcomings!
The apartments themselves are very nice but I do NOT recommend living here. Walls are paper thin and parking is a nightmare as another review states. They use a color coded system and a lot of the time, all the spots in your assigned color are taken. If you park in any other rows because of this they threaten to tow you. This isn't right. We pay entirely too much for this to be an issue.
Very nice actual apartment. Generally quiet but since it isn't carpeted, you can hear people walking upstairs. There are a lot of hidden charges in this complex - package service, valet trash, VERY high sewer charges. They charged us an amenity fee and then only returned a tiny fraction of it due to Covid 19. They have parking stickers for their significantly less than ample parking and if you don't return them when you move out they charge you $50 per sticker. They have the most disgusting dumpster area because their valet trash picks up earlier than it used to and if you work outside of the home, it is very easy to miss it, and heaven forbid you have something bigger than the trash can to throw away. While we were thrilled when we moved in, by the time we moved out - their management style got on our very easy going nerves.
We are currents residents and have been here for 15 months of our 17 month lease and we will most likely not be here for another term. Let me start with the good...love the closet space and the apartment itself in general, nice gym and maintenance staff reacts quickly. That’s it for the good. The bad... 1) Most of the amenities do not work (theater room, TVs throughout the clubhouse, shuffleboard table, fire pit, coffee station is never stocked with enough cups, etc 2) Management does not enforce the rules!!! - Parking is a nightmare and they don’t tow vehicles illegally parked as their sign states. This leaves residents without parking. - Allow residents that did not pay amenity fees use the amenities - Unaccompanied children in the clubhouse and pool area - Allows residents to have too many guests in the clubhouse and the residents cannot use the amenities for which we pay 3) Management arbitrarily shut off the gas to the grills and fire pit without notice on a beautiful day without any notice or reason to the residents. I had steaks to cook on the grill and couldn’t. Wanted to sit by the fire pit that evening and no fire. 4) Elevators are constantly vandalized (buttons purposely broken). Maybe Woodmont would add security cameras, but no they want to investigate like its the 1950's. They need to improve their resident screening process. 5) More but you should have the gist. We pay luxury prices for nothing but frustration and aggravation!!!
I am a current resident and looking to leave. Management has no concern for residents. We have elevators that we cannot use for 3 days now and they are not being repaired. We are a 4 story building that have several elderly residents. Parking is a nightmare and rules are not enforced. Clubhouse amenities do not work properly and the list goes on. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from here. Luxury Living is a lie.
