Property Ratings at Woodsdale Apartments
ROACHES.115 Waldon road, apartment H. I moved into a roach infestation and filth. The whole building is infested. Jan management worthless.
I moved into an infestation. Roaches all over and a filthy . Roaches in bedrooms, kicthen,etc.. 115 waldon road apt. H . THE WHOLE BUILDING IS INFESTED!.
Don’t rent any of these apartments. I’ve been here since 2019 and have had several issues. Maintenance walks in without knocking, leasing office does zero about any complaints, you can hear your neighbors sneeze next door the walls are so thin. God forbid you have someone who is constantly disrespectful with noise levels leasing office says it’s normal. Building looks like garbage and so do the apartments insides. They paint over bugs, carpet has nails that protrude and everything constantly breaks. My bedroom door since moving in looks like a dog chewed up the door and they never bothered to replace it. They’ll make false claims about your deck being dirty and give you a warning because the person that does the inspection confuses the apartments. The leasing office informed me of that and were laughing about it like it’s funny to not be professional. Save your money and time and skip these places. They’re the worst, I’ll be leaving soon as I’m tired of the lack of professionalism and clean / respectful living around me.

Place is old and falling apart. Maintenance responds fairly quickly to fix issues. However, even if you put in the request to call first, they literally just walk in your apartment whenever they want. They’ve done it a few times to me and I was in my bedroom getting dressed. If you like at least a little bit of privacy, Woodsdale is NOT it.

I moved in and the first day of living there I found out the apartment was INFESTED with FLEAs. They didn't go away for months and I don't mean 2 months I mean close to 4 months of them spraying chemicals every Monday. And the management people just kept blaming me that I brought them in. I have never had fleas in any place that I've lived (I don't have pets) and none of the people that I hang out with have fleas. Now 6 months later I have fleas in my apartment AGAIN! Needless to say that I will NOT be renewing my lease. Oh and a bonus (*sarcasm) I smell pot coming through my vents all the time.

When we first moved in, we had no complaints. However, it didn't take long before cigarette smoke started coming through our vents. We have been here for 15 months now, and the smoke has gotten worse and now there is Marijuana smoke also. When we complain to the office, we are told they cannot tell the tenants not to smoke. But they refuse to do anything with the ventilation system. The manager told my husband to cover the vents, then said the smoke is not bad for our health. We have literally gotten sick from the smoke. It's so heavy at times, it seems like someone is actually in the apartment, smoking. In the heat of the summer, our central air went out 3 times. We were told it wasn't an emergency, and each time we waited 3 days before they came to fix it. Now we are about to move and break our lease, because we just can't take it anymore.
I have lived in woodsdale apartments for 2 years have paid my rent on time except for maybe once when they changed how we paid. Then when I became late by 4days they apparently did a court filing and expect me to pay for that too. I'll be finding another place to rent soon.
Been a resident for a couple years and this place has the following issues: 1. Laundry Room has 2 Washers and Dryers per building. (One machine is regularly down for repairs) 2. Paper Thin walls. 3. Parking Issues (lack of lighting in places and poor lighting is most areas) 4. Old/outdated appliances 5. No Gym 6. Staff makes up rules as they go. ( Verbal agreement means nothing to them. Get everything in writing) 7. Selected enforcement of the rules they make up. 8. The only way to get something down either right or wrong is to contact corporate. 9. Shared water bill. (One bedroom apartment with one person living in it pays the same amount as a family of 4) 10. Drugs use is starting to get out of hand and all they say is contact the police. 11. Pool is closed 80% of the year. 12. Zero Customer Loyalty. (Rent goes up every year, yet new rents come in at lower rates and free membership to Planet Fitness) 13. The lease says they can come in your apartment at anytime for any reason and they mean it. Bottom line if you can afford to live somewhere else you should. If you you can't, well at least you walk in knowing the deal. Good Luck.
PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW AS IT WILL HELP YOUR DECISION GREATLY. NOTHING BUT THE HONEST TRUTH BEING STATED. I want to start this off by saying this was my first apartment ever being as though I am 18. So, it is granted that I did not know all I needed to know when I was picking this place. If I did, I would not have lived here. 1st major problem are the bugs. The insects are ridiculous. Crickets come through the drain in the kitchen as well as huge spiders (even with no dirty dishes), crickets are stomped on and left outside in the hallway, HUGE ant problem when it rains, and LOTS of spiders big and small. Mind you these bug problems will persist throughout your whole time staying. 2nd, the condition of the home. I am very disappointed in myself that I overlooked all these problems. There is an UNPROFESSIONAL and INEXCUSABLE amount of dried up paint on the carpets, door hinges and drawer knobs extremely loose, uncleaned dishwasher (never been used by me), some molding in the bathroom ceiling, carpet is torn up, air goes off and the bedroom door slams shut every time, and rain seeps through my bedroom windows even when completely shut. 3rd, neighbors. Just plain noisy and have no courtesy whatsoever. Of course some, not all. Lastly, you can smell weed as soon as you hit the front door. A lot of younger people are moving in and to be frank they obviously don't care if you smell it. I personally have no problem with weed but for goodness sake you have little children living in these apartments. MANAGEMENT DO SOMETHING. Definitely not worth the price whatsoever. You should be paying 700 something dollars for this place and what very little they offer you. I will give props to the maintenance crew (not the cleaning personnel because they are bad as well hence the dead crickets out in the hallway for weeks at a time) and the laundry room. It is inconvenient to not have the washer and dryer in your unit but the room itself is clean and the machines work fine. Please do better Woodsdale.
We've been living in these apartments for 3 years. Each year things have gotten worse. We will start with the positives: The pool is good, the just added a little playground, rent is cheapish, people are nice, the pond is a major plus. Negatives: We now have to pay the water bill as an average cost, which means we have no control over the price. There are insect problems in the apartments including silverfish and major cricket problems. The bathroom is always damp, even with the fan running. This means that there is mold growing in hiding places such as behind the toilet and actual mushrooms growing from under the toilet at times. The office staff is OK however, one lady in the office is not the best to work with. There is water damage and leaking in ceiling which was reported and has only been painted over instead of fixed. This is continuing to get worse. The bathroom tub faucet continuously leaks even after several repairs. People smoke in their apartments, both cigarettes and weed. Kids were shooting BB guns throughout common areas. This apartment complex is a cutout area for the William Paca Elementary school (biggest negative if you have any kids). I'm sure that I will think of more, but because of these problems we will be moving as soon as our lease ends.
We had a neighbor that had parties 7 days a week and the entire building smelled of weed. When we complained to the Rental office we were told to call the police. The police came and made arrests and no one was evicted. The parties stopped for a few days and went right back to where they were when they realized nothing was going to happen. The current manager will make promises to get you in - once you lease beware - they will not care about anything other than the rent. The snow is not removed in the winter - the children were setting off fire extinguishers in the buildings last summer. Don't be deceived by looks - it's just a show. Halfway houses are in a few apartments. Spend a few extra dollars and move elsewhere.
This place is starting to have a very bad drug problem. People just throw their trash where ever they want to. We have a new landlord that tells you to contact the police if you have a complaint about the drug issue. I have lived here for fourteen years. When I first moved in things were great, but now things are bad. My apartment is very outdated and if I want to have it updated it will cost. Everyone just started getting water bills and now you also need to have renters insurance. You always need to keep an eye out for your stuff because if you don't someone might mess with it or they might steal it. I had to contact the rental office three times now to have something fixed in my apartment and I still don't know why it didn't get fixed the first time around. The only reason I gave this place two stars is because when I moved in it was nice, but as of today I would give it one star. Please think twice before you move in. The rent might seem cheap, but they always get you one way or another.
The area is really nice. It is close to major highways but gives the feel that you aren't. Nice pool and maintenance needs are handled timely.
After 6 months here, I have no complaints. Rent is cheap for a safe area, there are grocery stores and places to go nearby, and the neighborhood is pretty quiet. On the couple occasions that I have called maintenance, they were timely and polite and fixed the problem on the first visit. The complex has a pool, tennis court, and basketball court, all of which are in good condition. The staff also throws a pool party in the summer which was fun and family-friendly. Rent can be paid online which is incredibly convenient, but if you do stop in to the leasing office to drop it off or for anything else, the staff is very friendly (and even remembered my name and which apartment I'm in!) While the apartment itself is "average" for a one-bedroom, it is very clean and free of pests. Overall, the Woodsdale apartments are efficient and satisfying, so if you are on a budget, they are a great place to choose.
My boyfriend and I lived at Woodsdale Apartments for a year, and I loved it! The area is quiet and peaceful, and all of our neighbors were friendly and polite. Everyone at the leasing office were always nice, always smiling, and were very competent and helpful. I never felt overwhelmed to contact the leasing office if I needed anything; I knew they would do the best to take care of my requests. Also, whenever we contacted the property with some type of work order (leaks, outlets not working, etc.) the work would get done the next day -- I found this astounding. Rarely are properties this efficient (in my experience at least). Not only did I love the complex, but the area of Abingdon was also a lovely place to live. Unfortunately we had to move to a place closer to my boyfriend's work, and I already miss this place. I wish we could have stayed longer. I have lived in many different places in Maryland, and Woodsdale Apartments is my favorite so far. I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking to move to the Bel Air/Abingdon/Harford County area.
When I first moved in I was very pleased with the staff, maintenance of the apartments and the landscaping of the complex. I have lived here for almost a year and have had a great experience. The apartments also have a lot of fun for my kids because they can play tennis or basketball, swim and also visit the pond. If I had to call maintenance at times the problems were fixed the same day, with the maintenance staff being efficient, polite and trustworthy. The office staff is extremely helpful, friendly and professional. My neighbors in my building and nearby ones have also been friendly, helpful and quiet. Also, it is so convenient to grocery stores, gas stations, I-95 and many restaurants. I would greatly recommend living here!!
will I been here for about 12 yr in the beginning it was nice but as the years went by it started going down hill from there seen different people come in and out of here me and my wife work and we have a son he is 11 we wish to move but times are hard or it is more money to move to another apartment we wish to get a house some day But there no room for savings and on top of that she trying to go back to school so she can be A registered nurse but because of the things that we are going through right now she have no time for School right now and as for me I open up a Business with no money and its heart and on the verge of losing it but they say never give up so all I can do and all she can do is try thanks God we have a roof over our head just wish one day I can get a break and she can go back to school
The rent at Woodsdale Apartments is the cheapest I could find for a 2BR 2 BA with a walk in closet, rooms big enough to have a queen size bed plus decent size bedroom furniture. I love the location, no traffic, so easy to get the apartments. I really enjoy how I am close enough to walk to the YMCA an to the Boulevard. I haven't had any issues, maintence is always friendly an available whenever I need something.
I have lived in Woodsdale apartments for about 7 months, I have a 2 BR 2 BA an I haven't had any issues, the location is perfectly located behind Wegmans an Wawa, if I need anything fixed in the apartment maintence is quick to come an fix the issue. The pool an tennis court are great never to crowded, I really enjoy that it is away from traffic an easy to get on an off of 95.
I have been residing at Woodsdale apartments for a year now. The area around the apartments is wonderful as it is close to many popular shops. The grounds are very nice and the pool is wonderful. There are plenty of children of all ages throughout the complex but they are all in no later than 9. I have had no issues with parking or worrying about my belongings if I accidentally left something in my car. If there was ever any issues that required maintenance there were there the same day and would not leave until it was fixed. I have very much enjoyed living here and am sad to say I am moving to due my employer.
Allows pets which is great, its quiet and not a lot of noise in the area, they have a pretty little pond out by the front of they community that has ducks and geese living there year round. Staff for Maintenance amazing and fast with any issues that come up. Pool and courts are nice, and plenty of near by shopping for convenience. Kitchen in the 1b/1b is big enough for two people plus a little breakfast nook, nice large walk in closet, Bed room is also huge. Only thing I wish they did was lock the main entrance so only residents can be inside the apartment building to prevent the occasional solicitor from knocking on your door after office hours.
