Property Ratings at Woodview Apartments
Ive lived her since Dec. 2019. Always paid my rent on time. When covid hit i became unemployed due to being laid off and my daughter had to do online school do to closures. As soon as the Cares act ended in December of 2020 they took me to court to evict me. I now am being evicted during a global pandemic even after taking all of the proper steps to prevent this from happening. Even offered to pay my full balance i owed when my unemployment started back up. My sink has been clogged since i moved in. My toilet over flowed and they did nothing but vacuum up the rugs and left it smelling like mildew. My vanity broke off and hit me in my shoulder. They came and fixed it only for it to break again. do not rent from here. Save yourself and go somewhere else!!!!
STAY AWAY FROM WOODVIEW! This place has got to be a joke with how much it’s going for. We moved in with a special rate and even that was too much for what you’re getting, it’s basically a shoebox. The office takes advantage of young couples and young females... they don’t care about you here. We had multiple problems with the place and it took months for the office/maintenance to get back to us, and when they did, the problems were worse than they were to begin with. When I called the office 10 minutes after they left explaining the problem, I was told “Well that’s how it’s supposed to be!” If you’re on the third floor, be prepared to crank the AC all day and have it only stay in the living space, no circulation whatsoever. Also, be prepared to smell smoke every hour of your life because it is permitted in the building. We also had problems with house centipedes because the buildings are old. We broke our lease early and we should have done it sooner. Look a little harder in the area and you can find a beautiful place for the same price. Please, please don’t settle for Woodview, you will regret it!
this is the worst complex in the country, has to be! broken heat, broken thermostat, no lighting between buildings, we had to fight to get the lights fixed in the parking lot. there's a guy that goes in-between buildings skimming the mailboxes and taking residents mail that i had to chase out, forcing my girlfriend to stay at my place because she was scared. she terminated her lease, and if there was a way to get her out sooner, I would. Calling the better business bureau. DISGRACE
i have lived in these apartments for about 6 months now, i moved into a completely renovated apartment and it is beautiful, plenty of room for one, or even two people. The two different neighbors that i have had below me have been SUPER inconsiderate, constantly blasting their tvs and music to the point where i can’t enjoy my own tv or even just relax in quiet after work. Management doesn’t do anything about issues like these, even though the lease states that you need to have the volume of your devices sufficiently lowered at ALL TIMES. i am ready to leave, if the walls weren’t paper thin or if they did a better job at soundproofing the place it would be perfect.
I have lived at Woodview Apartments for about a year now. All the apartments here are one bedroom. We have lived in a renovated apartment. It’s beautiful inside. There are some pros and cons to this apartment. Pros: parking lot is easy. There are always spots open. Interior is beautiful. Brand new kitchen and bathroom. You can use the pool at rose tree, though I never have. Cons: CEILING WALLS ARE PAPER THIN!!! They are so thin you can hear the person above you coughing. I can hear every step. Another con is that I can always smell cigarettes in the hallway. Someone is obviously smoking in one of the apartments and it stinks horribly. Even though they claim to be non smoking. The apartments are also very small. Not much room. Another con, it’s on a busy road. I’ll sit for ten minutes sometimes trying to go left out of this parking lot. Also, there’s no balcony or outdoor area for people to sit. You feel trapped because of that. I like to be outside so I often get sad I have nowhere to be outside. All in all, it’s an okay place to live for a year. I couldn’t stand living here another year because I feel so trapped in here! And the smelly smoke of the neighbor. I just am ready to get out of here. But if being outside isn’t important to you and you need a cheap and safe place to live for a little while, this place is a safe bet
Decent apartment in a decent location. The street is busy and there is a fire siren directly across from the building that goes off periodically, VERY loudly. You get used to it after a while. Noise from neighbors in our own building is minimal, but noise from the facing buildings and the courtyard can be horrendous at times. I once had to call the cops on a group of teenagers who were drinking and talking loudly between the buildings long after midnight -- silver lining is that the cops are also located directly across the street. Our 1br apartment is small but serviceable, and we got discounted rent for living in an "un-upgraded" unit (appliances and cupboards are a bit old). Management office is hard to reach and does not seem particularly motivated to solve problems. Maintenance is slow and not always responsive (although all the ones I have met are very nice people); I had to badger them for a year before they fixed the heat, which was on full-blast all the time until then. They did send someone to fix my faucet, but it only stayed fixed for a week or two. Hot water sometimes becomes VERY hot VERY suddenly, which can be dangerous in the shower. However, the building itself is solid and we've had no major pest problems (just the occasional spider and silverfish). All that said, the rent we pay is very reasonable for Media; the parking lot always has plenty of space; and the pool and fitness center, while small, are nice to have. Overall rating: OK.
