Property Ratings at Halstead Centreville
We lived here for the last 6 years. We have had an excellent experience living here, they have provided us with good maintainence when requested, close to highways, shopping, and Lifetime health club.
I lived at Woodway at Trinity Centre for two years - I've had some good experiences and some bad so I'll try to be as objective as possible. Pros: - Woodway at Trinity Centre is cheaper than most other communities in the area. - Apartments are fairly spacious (even the 1 bedroom apartments) - Several amenities in the community - Lots of parking - (in my case) friendly neighbors and a community feel - Maintenance staff is the bomb - super friendly and accommodating! I never drive by or pass them without saying hello because they're great. Cons: - The walls are paper thin. Like seriously paper thin. You can hear everything and anything happening in your neighbors apartment (particularly the bathroom). Seriously, I've seen single ply toilet paper that's thicker than these walls. - Apartment finish / cabinets / counters are all pretty dated - Not the friendliest leasing office staff who are also very hard to reach (unless you're about to sign an apartment then they're all over you) no matter what number you call or message you leave - While there are several amenities available, they definitely are no where near as nice as amenities in other communities in the area - Don't expect to see your security deposit again! They have the most bizarre rules about leaving the apartments that essentially include forcing you to pay a minimum of ~250 dollars to clean the apartment and to shampoo the carpets. Even if you clean them yourself! I was quoted by Chris from the leasing office that "people have spent two days cleaning and scrubbing their apartments and it's still not good enough". They will charge you no matter what. I've never seen another community do this where they basically use your money to do something that they should already be doing. - Absolutely no preparation for Covid 19 for new leases / transitions as far as I can tell - Maintenance requests are all done over voicemail so if you have a need for maintenance it can really take a while to get addressed. Speaking from experience with two situations where my kitchen flooded.
Woodway is great. These are uncertain times and they have been amazing with communication with us. Everyone in the office is very attentive and always eager to help. I just renewed my lease, because it I love it here.
If you move out, make sure you are on top of the leasing office with your mail because they conveniently don’t have it otherwise. They don’t call you to let you know they have packages for you either.
ROACHES LEASING OFFICE DOING NOTHING WILL MOVE OUT
I’m really surprised with the amount of reviews that say positive things about this place. I had the complete opposite experience. 1- ALWAYS CONSTRUCTION. There is always some type of machinery going on, and I mean re-roofing, cleaning breezeways, tearing down exteriors of breezeways, etc. This is not a quiet complex. It’s so disruptive when you deal with it day in and day out. 2- The office doesn't communicate. Have to call the office 2-3 times for someone to answer the phone. Apparently in Dec. they changed their email addresses & didn’t tell anyone. Found out after I tried emailing them 5 times & eventually had to call because they wouldn’t answer. Got them on the phone the man said “Oh, Which email did you send it to? Our emails have changed”. 3- I always ask Ashley in the office to call me once the maintanence crew was done so I could bring my dog back in. She would always say “sure! I understand, I have a dog too” but wouldn’t call me and waste my time. A month before I moved out she stopped responding to my emails. Ashley is the worst leasing office employee I’ve dealt with. 4- The dog park fence starting falling in Nov. I noticed it starting to lean & sent a photo to the office. I got the “We’ll write in down and get right to it!” email. It got to the point where I felt uncomfortable letting my dog go in. Finally fixed it in Feb. after it was completely on the ground. My dog also hurt her paw in the park from a hole. I emailed them I didn’t even get a response back. But I emailed Ashley & I should’ve known. 5- The pool opened a month late. They sent an email to everyone only a few days before memorial day. Once it opened they had a lawn crew there all the time. Nothing's more relaxing than a leaf blower in your ear as you’re laying by the pool. 6- All my maintenance issues: -hot water broke -garbage disposal broke -AC system stopped working -pieces of the ceiling inside my apartment chipped & fell from re-roofing -AC system stopped working again -AC system briefly stopped working again *another resident had to have her AC replaced *another resident apartment flooded from their toilet 7- The apartments are too out of date for what you have to pay. It's unfortunate the employees don’t realize that this is supposed to be a home for people. They’re more worried about the external, cosmetic look. They put on a good face when you first come in but once that lease is signed they don’t care.

I have been here 4 years and enjoy it. The office staff here is great, so pleasant and helpful. Maintenance staff is on point. Repairs are made quickly and correctly. The rare times they cannot make a repair on the first visit a phone call is usually made to explain why. Fitness Center is nice - it can get busy on weekends but that is expected. Grounds are clean and well kept. I can sometimes hear the neighbor above me but aside from that it's pretty quiet. I wish there was more kitchen counter space but I love how much storage there is. The appliances are nothing to write home about but hey, it's an apartment. They do a great job coming and doing some upkeep with the filters, etc., when seasons change. Parking is usually ok. When it snows it can be hard to find a spot and late at night on weekends. My lease is up shortly and assuming the rent increase is manageable I will be renewing. I recommend Woodway.

Thank you for your very nice 4 star review! I'll pass on your kind words to the staff. They will love hearing about this. if we can help you at all, please give us a call. Sincerely, Syed Hassan, Property Manager.
If you want to live in a place that is overpriced has a 1980's appearance and appliances from that decade look no further. This is the prime example of suburbia at it's best. Though there are a number of amenities that are offered, be prepared for non functioning equipment in the business center and the gym. Supposedly there is a trail one can jog, but due to the path disappearing in the grass, one is better off taking a stroll across the street on a completed path. There is an excessive amount of notices that will become a nuisance over time. On top of that you will get to know your neighbors without stepping foot outside, cause the walls are paper thin. The opportunity to call this place home sweet huh is possible if the above is appealing.
I'll be a resident at Woodway @ Trinity Centre for three years...in a few months. Ever wonder if your leasing office is REALLY WORKING FOR YOU, APPRECIATE YOU, TRULY HEAR YOU...WHEN YOU STOP BY TO CHAT? I have the answer if you're a new resident or considering relocating...Woodway @ Trinity Centre! The location is always important...that can be serendipitous. What's better than location? A leasing office with genuine customer service, genuine due diligence, and genuine common courtesy. Ever hear your property people outside clearing ice/snow...when it's negative or single digits in the winter...I HAVE! I had to share a "thank you for clearing outside and my safety, while I'm inside warm and comfortable". I'm just saying...SHOUT OUT TO WOODWAY@TRINITY CENTRE!!
My wife and I have been enjoying our experience as renters here. The management provides excellent services to maintain the grounds and ensure request for repairs are handled with efficiency in a timely manner. The cost is comparable if not slightly less than that of other neighboring apartments, but the layouts of the units (specifically 2 bedroom with premium kitchen upgrade) and quality of living surpasses that of those other apartments in my opinion. The pool is well maintained, large, and relatively empty in the summer.
Overall, I have been a happy renter here at Woodway. The location has been so convenient with quick access to groceries, eateries, the library, post office, and highways. As a grandmother, I appreciate the playground onsite to entertain the visiting grandchildren. The most convenient aspect of my apartment is that trash is picked up directly outside every apartment 5 days a week, so residents need not haul out their own trash to a site dumpster. Another nice service is free bagged breakfasts handed out to residents on their way to work in the morning on one day a year.
My husband and I have move 3 times in the past 2 years. We finally found an apartment that we feel safe and comfortable. The leasing office staff are all fantastic and feel more like friends who have our back than 'agents.' The grounds are kept neat and welcoming and so are the amenities. We called for maintence one time since living here when out AC stopped pushing out cold air. This call was on a Sunday (where we were originally told emergency persons were on call on Sunday's) and I do now it wasn't an emergency- yet an hour after our call someone should up! The only reason I give Woodway 4 out of 5 stars is because it's not smoke-free (but not many apartments are). We are super happy here.
