On the west side of McKinney Falls State Park along I-35 is where you’ll find Franklin Park, a charming suburban community that’s been housing renters since the 1970s. And with the Downtown Austin just six miles away, you’ll never be too far from the conveniences of the city.

Property Ratings at Capitol Crossing
Find another place to live, seriously!!! Absolutely Terrible!! There are many "income restricted" apartment complexes in Austin. This was my worst rental experience EVER!! No mailbox key for months, until I had to threatened to contact a lawyer for breach of rental contract. Terrible office communication and follow up (non-existent). Sketchy residents, vandalism, and crime. Unsafe and no sort of security patrol... you will see police presence (when they are called for criminal activity). Dirty neighbors leaving trash outside for days on end, despite notifying management. That leads to cockroaches!!! I had many cockroaches!! They never even cleaned/shampooed my carpets before move-in (despite me being adamant about it). There is so much I'm forgetting, just awful!! The only good thing I will say about this place is the size of the apartment and the bathtub. Definitely not worth all the garbage you have to deal with!! Respect yourself and find a better place!! You've been warned!

Applied for the apartment on 10/9 with the expectation on moving in mid December (I could have moved in sooner but I needed a 1st floor apartment) I recived a phone call asking if I wanted to move in sooner mid November. I said ok. After the long application process I was given a move in date of 11/27. The morning of 11/27 I recived a call stating that the apartment was not ready they needed to put in a counter top. I was upset, I told the apartments that I would not move in until 12/1. On 12/1 I go to the apartment and they tell me that I can't move in because the apartment is infested with roaches. (They could have at least called me) At this point I am furious. I called the cooperate office only to be told that the person I that I needed to speak with was unavalible. I advised that I would wait in hold bc not having a place to stay is an emergency. I was hung up on. THIS PLACE IS EXTREMLY UNPROFESSIONAL.
My lease is up in August. I love the price and inside of my adjustment but the parking, water bill and surrounding people are my last favorite. It's kind of a pick and choose. But we are most certainly looking for a new place closer to work.
The best thing about this place is location. The parking is horribly unorganized and unsafe. Heavily pest infested with fleas maggots and roaches. Poorly Air conditioned as well. I wish my lease was shorter
