Property Ratings at Worthington Gardens Apartments
WG in a nutshell is cheap and loud. You can hear your neighbors pull back their shower curtains, flush their toilet, and worse yet hear them actually take a shower. There is nothing at all between the walls in the adjoining bathrooms. The shower surrounds were not sealed. I had to seal my own and a whole lot of moisture got up there before I did and I know there is mold behind it now. The tubs were not replaced during the reno, but spraypainted and it flakes off and the only fix is to spray them again which requires a 24 hour vacate. There is no surface space at all in the bathrooms. None. I am a guy and need very little but I still found it very lacking. My bathroom sink was not attached to the vanity and it shifted with the slightest of pressure. The HVAC system and dishwashers are trailer park loud. I had to turn my tv up when either were running. You can hear and feel doors down the corridors shut. There are no ice makers in the fridges. The rafters in the roofs creak terribly loud in the winter at all hours and without warning. The utility closet within each apt is in the kitchen, but occupants do not have access. They are deadbolt locked and you are not given a key. Think of the fire hazard. I doubt it is even legal Schottenstein does this, but well it is Schottenstein. The name used to mean something in Columbus. The Devil is in the Details. You will not be given the details. I lived there 10 years and saw it all. Pre-reno, during-reno, post-reno. All of this is true. Run.

Robert, thank you for taking the time to write a review. However, creating a negative review as retaliation is never the right way to handle a situation. If you wish to discuss the matter further, reach out to us directly at worthington.apartments@spgroup.com or 614-846-3499.
I lived at Worthington Gardens for close to two years and I really enjoyed my time there. I loved the updated appliances and features! It sits back from the busy High St, which is nice during the summer laying by the pool. The staff at Worthington Gardens are very kind and helpful! Maintenance worked fast and efficient. My main reason for leaving was related to my work commute. I would recommend this place!

We appreciate your five-star rating of Worthington Gardens, Heather! Our team is dedicated to the well-being and satisfaction of our residents and we're happy this was evident during your stay in our community. We are honored to have earned your high recommendation, thank you!
Worthington Gardens is a hidden gem. The property managers are always friendly and responsive. The apartments themselves feel brand new, have premium finishes, huge patios, and seem a lot bigger than they appear in photos (among many other positives) -- they really did a great job renovating these apartments. The area feels really safe, and the community is friendly and quiet. I've lived in several nice apartment communities since I moved to Columbus and Worthington Gardens is by far my favorite. I can't say enough good things about this community and my experience living here.
I lived here for a year and after encountering the new property manager, decided the other negatives made this place not worth living in for another year. Here’s my pro/con list. Pro: • Beautiful landscaping and close to all that Clintonville has to offer. • Reasonably sized one-bedroom layout Con: • The property is supposed to be smoke-free, but it isn’t. The lobby frequently reeked of cigarettes and there were butts all over the ground. In addition, one of my neighbors liked to get high A LOT so the hallway always smelled and it usually seeped into my apartment. • The only amenity is a pool. The building at the bottom of the hill is also not handicap-accessible. • Noise from neighbors is always a thing in an apartment, but this place was way outside of normal. Do you want to know when your neighbors listen to loud music for hours on end, watch Law & Order, have a disagreement, or loud sex at 1am? These are all things I experienced on multiple occasions. Noise complaints about a party from my upstairs neighbor went unacknowledged by new management. I don’t know if the rumor about poured concrete between the walls is true, but if it is, it’s the thinnest concrete there is. • Random enforcement of lease policies. The prior manager knew of my pet and did not ask for a pet fee. After I already signed a lease renewal, the new property manager demanded that I pay one without bothering to ask any questions about the issue. It was only after I said I wanted to rescind my renewal that the pet fee issue suddenly became negotiable. • Despite being left a completely empty and clean apartment, I was charged for not dismantling the oven door to clean inside. I was charged for not cleaning the washer, an appliance that is by its very nature… clean. And lastly, I was charged for not being able to sufficiently clean the mildew off of the tub that their renovation team never bothered to caulk. I practiced good faith in leaving that apartment as clean as I was able and was rewarded with a bill. If you expect your tenants to do your deep cleaning, or fix your bad renovations, then at least do them the courtesy of providing this kind of information prior to move out. I’ve lived in multiple apartments over the years and have never been charged for anything so ludicrous.
I just recently moved in and I love it! They did a great job with the renovations. The apartments are beautiful, and the scenery is spectacular. Despite the bed reviews you see from the old apartments , if you are looking for a cozy place to call home, I have not been disappointed.
The property is poorly maintained and the lots are filthy. Management is very unresponsive. My sink was broken for 2 weeks before someone could make time to fix it. When I moved in, there were paint stains on the counters, carpet, and door frames. Rental manager regularly leaves early and rarely returns phone calls.
I have lived here almost 2 years now and I really enjoy it. Everyone is very friendly and polite. It is a safe place, I have never had issues with anyone here. It is quiet, I never really hear my neighbors unless they are on their balcony. I have had a few issues with water/plumbing, but nothing too serious. The issues were resolved in a timely fashion. The only complaint I have is that the rent was raised almost $75 in the middle of my time here. I do plan on moving soon for the sake of saving money. I feel that it is a little over priced for the space that I have. But overall I love it here and it's a great location, close to literally everything you could possibly need. You could live here without a car and be absolutely fine. I would recommend Worthington Gardens to anyone. It's been a lovely place to live.
After living in numerous apartments over the years, this one ranks among the top of the list for value, convenience to shopping and freeway access. My one bedroom is the largest I've found. I have enough space in the bedroom for a queen size bed, dresser with mirror, nightstand and very large L- shaped computer desk with room to spare and plenty of room to move around. The large walk thru closet with ample shelving leads to the updated bathroom. The Living room/ Dining area is quite large with enough space for a large sectional couch, 5 piece dining table & entertainment center, again with plenty of room to move. The kitchen has loads of cabinet space with updated appliances. Both the living room and bedroom have sliding glass doors that lead to either a patio or balcony that runs the entire length of the apartment, giving me my own outdoor space to enjoy the wooded ravine view. There are laundry facilities in each secured entrance building and a pool. Several of my friends have become residents after visiting and are equally happy with their new home.
