The southern corner of the neighborhood holds modern necessities such as shopping plazas featuring a variety of restaurants and stores. While the areas within the community are mostly made up of residential and industrial developments, residents are a short drive away from the great outdoors. Property Ratings at Wyoming Place Apartments
My boyfriend and I moved in right when the pandemic hit and put all we had to move into this place looking for a fresh start. Within the first week they had our car towed because it looked to closely parked on the line of the parking space which was not at all true. Soooo many other cars were parked way worse and not even in the lines. I tried calling and calling and they only decided to answer on the 6th call and voicemail! We had to call because we had no idea where are car was or if someone stole it. When we called and they finally answered they didn’t even know the number for the tow company or what it was called so we had to figure it out by ourselves. Also on top of that they said not only did they have it towed because of it being on the line but because the car looked “suspicious” to them and thought cops may have to get involved. Like what?!? It’s a normal Jeep. So on top of me losing my job because of the pandemic we then had to pay a $300 to get our car back for no reason at all. Money we did not have and had to suffer first moving in. That’s not all. Our apartment reeked of animal urine even though they said they took their time to clean the carpets....they clearly did not. Every piece in our fridge just automatically fell off and broke a part before I even got the chance to use it. Also maintenance is absolutely horrible and has no idea what they’re doing. Our fan in our bathroom never worked and our sink in the kitchen was always leaking. Most of the time the they were not able to help and we had to call the next day or the next and just hope someone would help us. They would work on things for a total of 5 to 10 minutes and then leave. The fan and leak would be gone for like 30 seconds but then the fan would break and the sink would leak again. Also I think there might of been mold because most days I would feel extremely sick and feel like I needed to puke. There was constantly this foul odor that a million candles and glade plug ins wouldn’t help. Even if you scrubbed the apartment non stop all day wouldn’t help. Trust me I tried. It’s just not a good place to live and I would not recommend this place. Also just to help anyone whose reading this they make you pay all these hidden fees such as renters insurance and also you have to pay to even use the gym. For the price you could find something MUCH better!
Property Manager at Wyoming Place Apartments, Responded To This Review
Hello, We would like to start by apologizing for any miscommunications that may have lead to some of the issues that you have had. We have reached out to the community and have spoken to them. Local management stated that they had photos of the condition of the vehicle before it was removed from the community and would be happy to show them to you. Please contact us directly at residentservicesNM@monarchinvestment.com and we will get them emailed to you right away. Also, management asked that you reach out to them directly so that they can assist in getting your maintenance concerns resolved as soon as possible. We don't want anyone to be unhappy in our community and will work towards a successful solution that meets everyone's needs. We take bad reviews seriously and want to assure you that together we can work towards correcting this matter. Our suspicion for possible criminal activity stemmed from the broken ignition on the jeep and that all the windows were down. The jeep was parked in what appeared to be a rushed manner since it was impeding the neighboring space. Again, please contact us directly and we will have someone head your way to address all of your concerns.
Just moved in so far so good! Office staff are wonderful and super friendly and professional. and the location is perfect for us. Close to great restaurants and grocery stores. Upon move in our heater wasn't working . We called the emergency on site maintenance and within 10 minutes Mike had the heat going! How fantastic! I have lived in several apartments and have never gotten such a fast, professional response onsite or not. Exactly what you would expect from an onsite crew no waiting and no BE no having to call different numbers and no waiting hours for someone.who might not even show.up.till.business hours. We love the peace of mind our ADT intrusion alarm gives us. We have lots of storage in our 2 bedroom. Bathtubs are kinda narrow but hey, who cares! Huge Built in bathroom pantry and medicine cabinet are a great bonus. Neighbors are great, floor plans have a great layout, patios are awesome there is ample parking throughout property, clean grounds, and nice laundry facility that accepts credit/debit. Online rent payment options is super convenient. All in all, we are excited to call wyoming place apartments home. Keep in mind, Not every apartment is a good fit for everyone and every place will have its flaws. There's only one way to find out!
I have placed a worker last week with Shannon, the Property Manager on Thursday regarding a slow drainage in the bathroom sink. She informed me that the maintenance guy will be there the following day to fix the issue. 5 days later, no sign of any maintenance person coming to fix the issue. As of now, I have a clogged sink in the bathroom. Once again, I have address this issue with Shannon and I was told “Maintenance guy is gone for today...I’ll have the guy fix it first thing tomorrow morning.” It’s a disappoint on how the lack of work the complex has to offer to its renters.
I moved into these apartments in the beginning of February and I told the maintenance men that it smelt like mold in some of the cabinets across from the sink. He came to check it out and told me that he didn't smell anything. I used to help my parents flip houses so I am very familiar with the smell of mold. I let it slide, however, and wondered why I was so sick while I lived there. I went to the urgent care 3 times in the 1.5 months I lived in this complex. Then one Friday, I get home from work and the kitchen sink had flooded my apartment. The water had pooled in the living room, the hallway, the bathroom, and the bedroom closet because the floors were uneven to begin with. I immediately reported it to the leasing office and maintenance fixed the pipe that was clogged. I cleaned the floors but no one came to dry the carpet in the bedroom until Wednesday. That is 5 days that it took them to respond to the issue and only after I complained EXTENSIVELY! The brought in a super loud fan to dry the carpet but refused to replace the carpets despite the mildew smell. I spent those 5 days sleeping elsewhere because it was impossible to sleep in the apartment with the terrible smell. At this point, the cabinets I originally said smelt like mold reeked and I ended up ripping off the trim to see what was going on because they said they would do it themselves but never actually did. As soon as I ripped it off, the smell was so intense and sure enough, there was black mold there. I took pictures and reported it to the office. Corporate was involved at this point and would not admit to having mold in the apartment because that is an inhabitable living situation, however, they let me break my lease without any termination fees because they knew what it was despite their resistance to admit it. I moved out immediately, but they did not reimburse me for the month and a half I lived there or any of my medical bills because it turned out I was so sick due to breathing in mold spores. The landlord at this property is absolutely terrible. If you have a maintenance request, you have to ask them at least 5 times or it will never be fixed. I am 23 years old and I exercise everyday but when I was living in this complex, I would wake up in the morning and not be able to breathe. I would never recommend living in these apartments, especially because I am pretty sure they did not replace the mold-infested cabinets after I moved out because they are cheap and lazy.
The model they show you of course is nice. What you actually get is accent walls, outdated appliances, stove is gas, plenty of closet space, however the air conditioner is old and is extremely loud. If your sitting in the living room watching tv or entertaining guests it is honestly such a nuisance to have the air conditioner on at the same time. I plan ahead by leaving it on while I'm not home. The maintenance crew is great, friendly, I've had three service requests they've responded the same day. They change the air filters regularly. You can expect flooding. There's a dog park a few irresponsible owners let the dogs take care of business on the sidewalk without picking up after them despite the signs. (This is a regular thing) The walls are pretty thin, you can hear the people above you and the people across and down the hall having a few with there friends. People in the community are nice. Race and age vary. Also have a courtesy patrol. The office staff could be more helpful. Had a problem with spiders and bees when I first moved in but let the office know before Friday and they will have it sprayed that week. It is basic apartment living in a good location.
