Property Ratings at Yankee Hill
While our time at Yankee Hill was never poor, we did experience multiple flaws in what was supposed to be a luxury apartment. Our apartment has windows that leak air at the base of each window which wasn't noticeable upon first moving in due to the weather. The cabinets, refrigerator, windows, and shower handle all had loose parts that needed fixing upon further inspection and would cause an increase in electricity and water bills as they leaked. Requests for maintenance and even to renew the lease (the original goal before rent was going to be raised which was mentioned the date that we had to make the decision to renew or to leave) both took multiple communications from our end to receive a response and whether it was due to a faulty system used, or miscommunication between managers, it inconvenienced my partner and I. The location and overall look of the building are fantastic, and it was great to be next to a grocery store, multiple restaurants, and to be able to overlook the city. The cost is high compared to other apartments in the area, and laundry adds up (@4.50/load as of writing this review), but if you're looking for style over efficiency/quality, this place can definitely due.
I lived here for a year, and never once had an issue. The entire staff, front desk, maint, cleaning, etc were always friendly. I would strongly recommend Yankee hill to anyone looking for a great place to live downtown at a reasonable price.
I loved the flexibility and price of having a non-traditional lease length (10 months)- the professional staff is really willing to work with you. The apartment is nice and spacious with awesome views right near the lake. It has cheaper finishes and it's a little older, but you get what you pay for. The price point leads to an interesting variety of renters, but I had no problem with noise or my neighbors. The apartment was sparkling clean when I got there and no issues.

Thank you for your kind review! At Yankee Hill we strive to offer the very best resident services and amenities.
Not worth the rent. Management does respond quick but they do not resolve issues quick. The location is great, but you can find a better building with nicer amenities and still a great location for a more worthwhile price.

Lived here for 11 months. Good location, just terrible and snobby management. I'd recommend something nearby.

Yankee Hill is a great apartment community for anyone looking to live in downtown Milwaukee. It is affordable, comfortable, and in a safe area. It is walking distance to several amenities such as the Metro Market grocery store as well as restaurants such as Subway, Chipotle, Panera Bread, and others. Fun events in Milwaukee are close by such as Jazz in the Park. The apartments themselves are spacious and there is a fitness center and a pool/spa. The leasing office is very attentive and the security staff is very good. Overall, one of the best places to live in Milwaukee, not to mention, free cookies every Thursday!

Thank You so much for your kind remarks. We can not agree with you more... Yankee Hill does have the very best location in the downtown area. In the tradition of offering great amenities, we are currently in the process of renovating all our amenities in the South Tower!
Great place just north of Cathedral Square. Very responsive management, good fitness room, and clean laundry. Love the Thursday cookies as well.
