Across the Arkansas River lies one of Wichita’s premier suburbs. Northwest Wichita is a prime spot for those looking for more space, or to just escape the cobbles of Old Town. With plenty of local restaurants and contemporary stores, you’ll feel right at home just across the river from downtown.
Visit the Sedgwick County Zoo or settle into a game of golf at Reflection Ridge. There’s plenty of shopping at New Market Square, complete with high-class restaurants and a massive movie theater! You can share in a little fantasy at the annual Great Plains Renaissance Festival that’s put on at Sedgwick Park—just make sure to come in costume.
Northwest Wichita offers larger homes and apartments for slightly less than the already affordable city it’s just minutes from. Easy connections to I-235 and KS-96 make this residential neighborhood an easy getaway.

Property Ratings at YORKTOWN ESTATES
My wife and I were completely shocked by that fact that Yorktown Estates decided to pass along the costs of old, worn-down items that needed to be replaced as normal wear and tear. Specifically, the window screen in the second bedroom and the patio screen door. The window screen was always loose and damaged. It was still useable, so why were we charged a new screen? We never used that patio screen door. It was always a bit loose and not easy to open, close, or lock. We had maintenance come over just after we moved in to try and fix it. Again, why were we charged for an item we left the same as when we got it? We also replaced the drip pans and were charged unnecessarily for it. When we left our final walk through with you on 7/27/20, the drip pans were snug in the top of the oven and the coils were plugged into the socket. I will point out that you also charged us for ice trays when they were left, clean, in the freezer. Again, why are we being charged for items that were either left clean or replaced? All in all, this comes down to your agency being shady and having bad business practices. It’s not our fault that your apartment is aging and you need to replace a window screen and a patio screen door because of normal wear and tear. ALL apartment complexes tend to impose overly high expectations on move out (like a brand new model home that has just been built and not lived in yet) when in reality most of them are generations old and have their own upkeep to maintain, and fail to deliver. EVERY ONE OF THEM! Especially now, during COVID when MOST AMERICANS are struggling due to layoffs, cut hours or cut wages; your company is still making money while renting to individuals. Not once did you offer to cut back the cost of rent when the nation shut down. Now, would be the time to be generous when everyone is suffering instead of taking 77% of another month of security for us. The only time I ever got my full deposit back was from the first apartment I rented. I guess I should feel privileged that Yorktown Estates, the last apartment I will ever rent from, became only the second apartment in which I got some of my deposit back. All of the ones in the middle I either broke even or had to pay something because of the predatory practices of the apartment landlords.
Moved in to Wet carpet first day, constant leak coming from entry to front door fixed in 2 months? Both bathrooms flooded and we lived with Dryers for carpet for three days? The “ hot tub” did not work on move in. I literally faxed multiple complaints to Hayeloft Property Owners. After living here 2 months I saw the First Bed Bug I’d seen in my life. I tell office. They tell me it is my responsibility to pay the Bedbug bill? This is a multi unit complex. I left over a year ago. They let me out of my lease. I nor my Family have ever seen a bedbug again. Rude incompetent Fake People!!!
Yorktown Estates is a clean complex. Not only is it clean, the landscaping is nicely manicured. The other apartment dwellers are friendly ànd make this a great community to be a part of. I've recommended this complex to many friends and family members and several friends and one family member moved here. We all love it here...you would love it too!
