Property Ratings at Arbor Square Apartments
Horrible property manager. Melanie has such a bad attitude and will say anything to get you to leave her alone and never follow up with you on maintenance requests or any other issue. The head maintenance guy is the only one worth the time but he can’t do anything unless they give him the maintenance request, which always magically disappears when you submit it.
Property Manager at Arbor Square Apartments, Responded To This Review
Hi, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around. Thank you for your feedback!
Don't waste your time on this place people. Mission rock owned apartments are terrible. And their employees don't help either. The office staff at Arbor Square is horrible. Im not even sure if the manager is ever in the office. They dont seem to take resident concerns seriously.. Unless there's new office staff or mission rock isn't the owner then dont rent here.
I lived here a short period of time from August 2020 - December 2020. Management was always response, friendly and particularly helpful. They also keep up the grounds quite well, updating the paving, cleaning the awnings, and cleaning the pool daily when it was open. My unit had new carpet and updated appliances. Neighbors were respectful. All things considered it was a large apartment, great amenities, in a safe part of Olympia directly on the Chehalis trail, near grocery stores and easy access I-5. My number one complaint is the price. I moved paying a decent price for a 2 bedroom with a fireplace but with their pricing strategy I swear it's going to be a 1000 more by August 2021.
Not a good experience. Unfortunately signed a 1 year lease. If you do decide to stay here make sure you double check your billing statement each month as I was double charged nearly every month I was there. Office staff very hard to reach and rarely actually in the office during business hours. Don't expect to to get any of your "refundable security deposit" back and the end of your lease as you will be charged "standard" cleaning fees that equal the deposit amount and then you will also be charged for anything they want after you have moved out and aren't able to dispute the charges because the final bill gets sent out on day 12 of the 14 day period you have to pay before they send you to collections. Oh and if your lease ends and you don't decide to resign for another year..they will charge you DOUBLE rent to go month to month. There are better options out there.
I have lived here going on four years. The main things that stick out to me is the parking, parking is always great for me (1 vehicle) and if I have guest over they never have issues parking either. I love the amenities and the changes they made to make them better. I use the gym at least every few days, along with the Jacuzzi and Sauna! The team has worked hard to maintain this community. I can't think of any improvements, other then a new play zone for kids, and a better gate to access the trail and the trail to be easier to walk on. I would love to see those in better condition. I have been here through a multitude of different projects they have done and they have always done a great job of letting me know when they will take place, we also get news letters every month that let us know whats going on too! I love the little community gatherings we do! I like the team here, the Manager has been here a while and seems to be very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions I may have, she is great to talk to and always makes me feel welcomed. The maintenance Ron is awesome, he always does a great job and my issues are always resolved, and the rest of the staff is great as well. Its nice to see a full staff again, and I'm excited to see what they will be improving next! I would recommend anyone to live here, its peaceful and quite and I love my neighbors and the team. -Thank you #build5neighbor
We’ve lived in this complex for 2 years. Once our lease is up in a few months, we’re not renewing. The price we paid when we first moved in was decent, but the lease renewal came and now it’s wayy overpriced for what you get. They are decently sized, so you get quite a bit of space but I feel like there are better options in Lacey. The handy work is subpar and you can tell when you look closely. Mold is to be expected on this side of Washington. But this complex is so bad, I think it’s the old design of the windows. Puddles of water will build up overnight. Some tenants are nice. But the complex has to repeatedly send out newsletters about speeding in the lot because some of the tenants truly don’t care about anyones’ safety. And if you ask those people nicely to not speed, they yell at you? Strange. If you are a tenant and can’t come into the office, good luck trying to reach them through phone! You’ll never get through. My advice for that is to always press the option as someone who is looking to rent, then you’ll get to talk to someone. While it is a quiet area, you can hear everyone and everything because the walls and floors are so thin. There’s a crack forming at our front door up to the ceiling? The kitchen is very tiny, at least in the 2 bed 2 bath. While the large living space is nice, if you like to cook elaborate meals, you might find it to be a challenge. Oh, also! They don’t accept packages, so you have to get them at the usps in downtown Olympia. Not a big deal for me because it’s on my way to work. But I can see how it would be a nuisance for someone else.
Gorgeous and underrated facility... Nice and quiet with lots of fantastic resident perks. If all goes well, I am genuinely looking forward to living there!
I moved in about a year ago and fell in love. This is a great place for people who are retired and it is family friendly. There is a pool and many places to walk on the grounds.
I moved in about a year ago and fell in love. The apartments are great for people who are retired. Everyone is very friendly and fairly quiet. The grounds keepers make some noise around 9 am while they are mowing the grounds. There are paths to walk on and it is right by the Western Chehalis Trail.
