Property Ratings at Chili Commons
Was really interested in moving here when my lease is up and called them to ask what the criteria is such as credit score and income eligibility and how to maybe get on a wait list. Was just told we have none available and one set income although there are dif prices for apartments. Lady just seemed very rude on the phone as well like didn't want to be bothered with my questions
This place was great. Perfect central location, Krista in the office is amazing and always responded to my calls in a timely fashion. Walls are thin, but we used a noise machine app on our phones for nighttime and had no issues. Maintenance was always timely for us and fixed whatever issues we had. Only issue we had was the mold that every apartment seems to be experiencing. It never really impacted us, it’s just not fun to look at in the bathroom, and I hope we won’t be losing our security deposit over it because it was already there. Other than that, we really enjoyed living here and would honestly recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable, decent sized apartment in the area.
Just like the title states the complex is a great place good location, the neighbors on the other hand not the friendliest of people, being told insulting things about your health and how are you live is not the thing I’d like to hear on the every day conversation and then have them act like they’re good people just a big no-no for me. In conclusion good complex, crappy neighbors.
When applying they wouldn’t tell us which townhouse would be ours which is troublesome enough. Then when the place felt too small, we asked if we could switch to a bigger townhouse when it becomes available and they told us no. Which I see no problem which switching townhouses and continuing our signed lease there with the rent going up. Our neighbor doesn’t like our dog so it’s challenging enough and there’s a few broken things in the place that they haven’t fixed yet and we didn’t wanna complain about it but at this point we’re stuck here for two years and they don’t let you upgrade there’s no way I’m renewing my lease after this. Which reminds me when we first applied we saw it’s a one year lease online and they told us after we applied and paid for the $80 application fee ($20 per person)that it’s actually two years. So the least they could do is accommodate to our needs.
The apartments are really large and my two bedroom was nicely renovated and clean when I moved in. The townhouses are nice as well. The maintenance comes immediately when you call the leasing staff with an actual apartment issue. Didn't have hot water once, they had it on in 20 minutes for me. Had a leak in the ceiling above my bathtub from my upstairs neighbors bathroom, they assessed it in minutes. I've really enjoyed my time here. Now I take away only one star because of where they placed me. I live alone and work nights, and I explained this to them signing my lease. They placed me on the first floor under a family who has a kid who sprints up and down their apartment, screams, etc. Place has thin walls. I've had to sleep with ear plugs in for nearly a year now because of this. Quite frustrating but it's a kid so I get it. Just should of never had this problem in the first place. Overall I've got no serious complaints and would recommend it.
I live in a 1 Bedroom Apartment right now! The screen door does not lock, i have had maintenance over several times, and have received no resolution. I have dips in my Hardwood Floor that feels like the floor gave out and is rotting... The deck is all algae or some green funk. The toilet is extremely loose and have had no luck with maintenance. Let alone, the Mold Issue that is all over the news! If i wasnt stuck here for another year, i would move immediately. The rental office is also very bad at responding to emails and phone calls. You can never get ahold of them, or the property manager is never in the office!

We are sorry to learn you are not happy with the maintenance support you previously received. We strive for all our residents to be satisfied and confident in the value of their housing choice.
This townhouse is in a great neighborhood, great school district. The apt. itself is very large, about 1600 square feet. Three bedrooms, one of which is huge. One and one half baths. The kitchen is galley style, which is not my favorite. The apartment I am in, which I have been in for about six years now, is rather old fashioned looking, needs upgrades. They only upgrade after someone moves out. THere are a lot of pluses, and I guess for the size of the apartment and the fact that it has three bedrooms, it is fairly reasonably priced.
