Property Ratings at Cottonwood Creek
It's not a matter of if but how many times will your vehicle be damaged in the parking lot. In just under a year we had 6 breakings including an instance of a catalytic converter theft where the thieves put a gun into the maintenance mans face. The management has no interest in increasing security. They have an attitude like it's cheaper to clean up a dead body out of the lot and hire a new staff member than it is to put in more security measures. Instead the enacted an illegal parking permit that is not in the terms of our lease threatening residents to comply or they will tow their cars. Just garbage.
Pros: 1) Covered parking, 2) Very little noise gets through the walls, 3) Maintenance: The maintenance workers are quick in responding to complaints. My only complaint is that although they sent out letters stating they had to do work on each apartment, they didn’t give a good time frame. I work nights and luckily I have an additional lock on my door or they would have walked in while I was sleeping. Yes we had a warning, but it was a “We will be working on buildings E, F, and G between the hours of 0800 to 1500.” Given that I live in Building G, I figured we’d be one of the last ones and was wrong, 4) Gym: It's nice. 5) Dog Areas: They provide doggie poo bags and stations which is awesome. I just wish the residents would use them more. But, I do see maintenance cleaning up the poo quite often. Sucks that they have to, but they are pretty good at keeping up with it. 6) Moving out: This place has received a lot of bad reviews due to high moving out costs, but mine was less that $50. Which, for living there for a year with a puppy, I don’t feel that is bad. 7) Location: This place is very conveniently placed to a lot of things, a mall down the street, easy access to Highway 6, and a ton of stores and restaurants nearby. Cons: 1) Very little additional parking, 2) Dog Park: The dog park is full of little rocks that my dog would unintentionally eat while playing fetch and the park always wreaked of urine. Hardly anyone would clean up after their dogs even though bags were provided in multiple locations in the park and on the property, 3) Management: I spoke with the managers on multiple occasions for different situations and they sounded helpful and stated they’d keep me in the loop, but never got back to me unless I went back in and speak with them again, 4) Safety: First, when I first moved in there were multiple vehicles being broken into on the complex. The complex did add extra lights, so hopefully that deters the people doing this. Second, my dog was attacked while I was walking him on the property. The dog that attacked mine has attacked 4 times on the property but the property continued to let her live there with the dog due to not documenting anything although it was reported all 4 times.
This apartment complex is close to Larkburger, Whole Foods, Best Buy and within a short driving distance of a local Target. You are also only a few blocks from King Soopers and a King Soopers gas station. There are plenty of amenities such as a pool, basketball course and covered parking.
Cottonwood Creek is a small gem found on the west side of Littleton, CO. Close to retail, restaurants, and even a Whole Foods store, the apartment complex is nestled in a park like setting and is always clean & well manicured. A nice size workout room & pool will keep you relaxed and in shape! The entire staff is helpful & friendly. Quite the find!
2 bedroom 2 bath and very quiet, pet friendly, covered parking, awesome exercise room, downside is that the A/C is a wall unit like the ones that you find in motel rooms, takes a lot to cool down the whole apartment. My apartment is dated as well (1980's) but the grounds are superb and up to date with gated dog runs for both large and a separate one for small dogs, Basketball court, Outdoor grills and tables, lots of shade trees, very nice updated place to connect to the internet in the office area.
Great complex the staff is amazing and friendly. They keep you up to date on things happening at the complex. Very quiet complex with a dog park! Small apartments and doesn't have central air though so it gets really hot really quick :( Over all it's been one of the best experiences at an apartment complex I have had!
I lived here for a year in a 2 bed/2 bath. It was decently spacious, and was a fully renovated apartment. My time here was good, and never had any complaints. The staff was very nice (even let me in after hours on Christmas Eve to pick up a gift that UPS left at the front office) and were very accommodating. I wish I could have stayed longer, but my roommate had other plans. Overall a very welcoming staff, and no real troubles for the entire year I was there. They had little get togethers for the complex, the pool was nice, and the grounds are dog friendly with pick up stations all around. I would recommend this place.
This is my first apartment in Colorado. I was unable to visit the location before moving in, but the staff graciously sent me pictures and all of the details of the complex before my arrival. Since moving in I have found the staff to be incredibly helpful and kind. The amenities at this location are fantastic. A well-kept, beautiful pool area, basketball court, 24-hour fitness center, and on-site dog parks are a huge bonus. The apartment was in much better condition than I could have ever expected on move-in day. Overall, the community is extremely dog friendly, and the location is perfect. The main streets near by provide any shopping and dining needs, and it is a very short ride out to the mountains or into the city of Denver for any trips.
I recently moved across the country to Colorado and was worried about finding a decent apartment without first getting to see it in person. Tom and Bethany were amazingly helpful, and answered all of my questions and concerns super quickly. Everything, including signing the lease, was done online which made it a simple process. Move in day was easy, and the despite being old, the apartment was in great shape. We're in the lowest priced apartment and still have a dishwasher, washer/dryer, and wood burning fireplace. It's really nice. Everyone I've met in the complex is super friendly, and the dog park on-site makes it easy for me and my dog to meet people. People are generally pretty good about cleaning up after their dogs, though I have seen some messes that were left. Also, the area around the apartment is great. Every store and fast food chain you could need is within 5 minute driving distance.
My fiancé and I moved to Cottonwood Creek Apartments in Littleton, Colorado about 2 months ago, and I have to say, we're walking distance from what seems like everything. We have our choice between Sprout's, Whole foods, or the cheaper King Soopers for our Groceries, both our banks are around the corner, and there are two Walmarts, an REI, a Lowe's, an AMC Movie Theater, both Firestone & Pep Boys, a Best Buy, and numerous restaurants, all within a mile of this well-kept garden community. Not to mention all the nice pathways and cross-walks that safely lead you to them. All in all, I'm glad we decided to move to this part of Colorado. We're minutes from either Downtown Denver or the mountains and all the amenities that come with your rent, from the swimming pool to the Gym, are the icing on the cake.
