This place is not luxury. So gross, roaches & mosquitoes infest hallways, courtyards, and trash shoot rooms. key fobs are old, outdated, and unreliable. Pool is gross, it is now green! Mgmt refuses to even acknowledge the problem. Unacceptable. =/

This is not it.
Worst place I have stayed in my life. Here are my reasons, equally weighted: (1) Office staff will rarely reply or actually address your issues, yet they will be vocal about your rent payment and community events- priorities seem to be off the tenants, more on the business. (2) Dogs. There are dogs barking everywhere, all the time. Again, very little the office staff will do about this, if they do respond to you. (3) Marijuana. There has been a constant issue of marijuana smelling up the complex. The courtesy officer stated that there is little they can do about this. (4) Valet trash is great, until your can is taken and not replaced multiple times in the span of a month and people resort to just putting garbage bags in the hallways throughout the day. (5) Noise. If you like nascar, this is perfect for you. You can hear amateur drifters every night in downtown. On top of that, little insulation so you can hear your neighbors conversations or your above neighbors footsteps. Loud music? That'll be addressed over the course of a few months before you get any resolution. They do have a courtesy officer who will respond about 50% or less of the time (an accurate stat from my own experience). (6) Build. It looks great, until you realize the paint on the shelves will come up with whatever picture frame or box you decide to set on them. Appliances are actually nice, so check. The only saving grace with this place is it's location so that you can walk downtown, but at the expense of everything else above, I will recommend that everyone stay away from downtown SA and specifically this complex. The niceties don't outweigh the cons.

Encore has been a very pleasant place for my stay. The peace and quite that is here is like no other. The maintenance is very good and well kept. The gym and pool areas are well maintained. Overall very satisfied.

The high rise ceilings, all granite counter tops, beautiful tile, and community amenities make me feel like I'm living at a 5 star hotel. I love the location, amenities, and overall staff at this apartment. I've been really happy with my new home. Keep in mind it's downtown so it's noisy but the ability to walk to HEB, Coffee, and Riverwalk is worth it.

Excellent experience moving in thanks to the great staff. I have a 2BR, 2BA and absolutely love the layout of the apartment. It has plenty of space and plenty of storage. All of the stainless steel appliances look great and perform very well. The oversized patio is phenomenal...a totally extra living space. I fit two queen bedroom sets in both bedrooms (bed, dresser w/mirror, two night stands). I have a four person dining set, but could comfortably fit a six person set. My living room has a reclining loveseat, reclining couch, two end tables, and a coffee table, along with a fairly large electric fireplace TV stand that holds a 65" TV. I walk everywhere and only use my vehicle to go to work. The furthest I walk, either north (The Pearl) or south (Freetail Brewery, through Southtown), is two miles. I'll probably purchase a bike, even though there are plenty of rental scooters/bike all around the area. Excellent location and excellent apartment/grounds/amenities. I highly recommend.

I'm amazed at how awesome the staff at Encore has been during a time of pandemic. I've rarely had great experiences with apartment office staff's; however, this group is top notch. The apartment itself, is beautiful, and they made it even better by being great at what they do. They communicate and respond fast to needs and they made my move in experience easy breezy. Encore SoFlo's location is ideal. However, the structure itself lacks proper planning and execution. If you're looking for an apartment with daily complaints for walking or using in-home features you'll love it here. The insulation in the building is non-existent, voices can be heard through walls, and you'll be annoyed by human noises.

Poor security and attention to resident safety/health
Poor security and limited, if any, accesses for emergency personnel for apartment entry. The management team has refused to provide security despite multiple thefts of resident property, ie bikes, cars, motorcycles. All stolen from “secure” parking garage. If we call EMS they would not be able to enter. We have called police twice and they couldn’t get in unless we went to meet them at the door. The fire dept has been seen waiting for someone to let them in and we have witnessed another police call waiting in front for someone to let them in. After numerous complaints they have made minimal changes. Random people have knocked on my door in the middle of the night who are not residents looking for their resident friends. A bike and motorcycle of mine have been stolen after only months of residency. Our neighbors have had both their bikes stolen and car which were locked. Please look up police reports before signing your lease. Amenities are useless as they are only available during the hottest times of the day which are the hours of the lease agents. They refuse to adjust their schedules or hire staff to accommodate the residents. We are trying our best to get out of this lease. FIND ANOTHER APT COMPLEX!

No Security - High Theft - Limit Emergency Access to Complex
TERRIBLE! The apartment is nice but it has a lot of issues. We have been here for 7 months and are trying to get away as fast as we can. Since we have been here, there have been numerous thefts that the management seems to push off as a "rise in crime" instead of telling us what’s really going on. Last month my bicycle was stolen from the "secure" garage. Two days ago my motorcycle, which is very expensive, was stolen from the "secure" garage. Months ago we requested that they provide full-time security in the complex and nothing has been done. We are one of many residents that have complained about the security of the community. The biggest issue we have is that law enforcement and medical personnel can not get into the building. On a few occasions we notice police trying to get into the building and needing access. When my motorcycle was stolen two days ago, the police called me to open the door. This is a HUGE concern. We have complained to management about this also and received a soft, we are working on it. In short, this community has a lot of potential but currently they are not ready to meet the needs of the high paying residents that reside here. I would pass on this community if I could do it again. There are a lot more communities, that put their residents first, in this beautiful city.

TERRIBLE! The apartment is nice but has a lot of issues. We have been here for over 7 mo and are trying to get away as fast as we can. Since we have been here there have been numerous thefts that the management team seems to push off as rise in crime instead of telling us whats really going on. Last mo my bicycle was stolen from the garage. 4 days ago my motorcycle, very expensive, was stolen from the secure garage. Months ago we requested they provide full time security and nothing has been done. We are 1 of many residents that have complained about the security of the community. The biggest issue we have is that emergency personnel cannot get into the building if needed. On a few occasions we noticed police trying to get into the building and needing access. When my motorcycle was stolen the police called me to open the door. This is a HUGE concern. We have complained to management and recieved a soft we are working on it response. In short, this community has a lot of potential but are not ready to meet the needs of the high paying residents that reside here. I would pass on this community when they mistakenly tried to give me an apartment with no balcony after telling me it had a balcony. There are a lot more communities that put their residents first in this beautiful city.

Location, location, and location. Easy access to the interstates. Walking distance to the river walk, restaurants, stores, bars and entertainment. HEB is less than a block away, you can't really beat that. Apartment is very modern with a nice gym and a beautiful pool, plus additional amenities. What more do you want? Look no further and secure your next home. The staff is professional and very welcoming. Amazing team, a special shoutout to my leasing agent Athalie! You are on top of your craft.

Overall terrible experience so far. Would not recommend signing a lease here. The facilities are under construction. Management has communicated false timelines as to when amenities will be available (pool & fitness center). Trash chutes are not available. Valet trash misses picking up trash sometimes (even though residents pay $30 a month for valet trash). Lease elsewhere!
