As the city of Reno continues to grow, suburbs north and south of the city attract more transplants hoping to find affordable living in Nevada. North Valleys, a neighborhood north of Reno’s downtown along Highway 395, provides true Nevada living for Renoites who appreciate open space and proximity to downtown. A 20-minute drive south from North Valleys brings most locals to the center of Reno, where they can watch shows and walk along the Truckee River before returning to home in the northern suburbs.
North Valleys residents like the feel of living in their own community close to the bright lights and entertainment of Reno. Families looking to buy a home in a safe area with schools like North Valleys for its amenities and comfort.

Hi, reviews like this give us motivation and help us ensure we provide high-quality care. Thank you so much again for your feedback! We hope you have a great day!
I have lived here for 2 years. It's one of the safest places to live, no it is not perfect in regard to crime but no place is. Maintenance is top notch, they are quick to respond and resolve. Rent is decent for the size of the apartments. If you have a problem when you move in let them know. The office staff are pleasant and willing to listen and help with questions and concerns.
I have lived at the Sierra Sage Apartments in Reno/Stead for a year and a half now. The apartments themselves are great for the price. They are fairly roomy and have a great setup in my personal opinion. The management staff is very good at responding to any issues and/or repairs in a timely manner also, which is a HUGE plus. The community itself is pretty great as well. The only drawback is there are a lot of children running around, but most of them are very nice and friendly so I do not mind at all. This is great if you have kids as there is always someone to play with and it gets the kids outside to play like real children should, not just sitting in front of a tv or computer all day. I have yet to have to make a complaint or have any issues at all. There are a lot of friendly neighbors who are always willing to chat or help out if you need it. I was worried moving out here because of the low rent, but it has been amazing in every way so far. The location is also wonderful. Many people seem to think it is far out, but it is not far at all. It is less than a mile to the freeway (395) and is a straight shot into town. I work by Virginia/Kietzke and it takes me 10-15 minutes to get there depending on traffic. There is a Wal-Mart and a couple nice grocery stores one exit away, and many places to eat and shop in the same area. They are pet friendly, just a couple normal breed restrictions. Most people take good care of cleaning up and leashing their pets. Only a few yappy Chihuahua owners that don't seem to care, but this seems the norm for this type of dog sadly. In the time I have lived here I have not seen nor heard of any crime, vandalism, or break ins. This is huge to me as I am very protective and always worry about these things. I purchased a new car just over a year ago, and not a single thing has happened to it. In conclusion; if you are looking for an affordable apartment that is safe, friendly, reliable, kind, and still close to everything you need, this is an amazing choice. You will not regret living here. As I stated, I am a hesitant picky person, and although not perfect, it is as close or closer than you will get to perfect at a fraction of the cost. A pretty good trade off if you ask me!
Set in the north valleys above Reno, NV this community is close to food and shopping venues, easy access to town, and not far from a park and athletic fields for the young people. The apartments themselves are well laid out with large living room and kitchen, good sized bedrooms, and one or two roomy bathrooms. Closets are also roomy, and on property storage is available. Heat/air, washer/dryers, and large picture windows that look out on well kept grounds with plenty of trees, grass, and shrubs. Very quiet and friendly neighborhood.
My roommate and I work nearby so it's very convenient. There's many things within walkkg distance and the local bus runs untill 2am. I find it very quiet and cozy .
