Solaire didn't have sufficient hot water for A YEAR during covid, they lied about the construction which is constant. Then they tried to raise the rent!! Check other review sites, multiple tenants are complaining. They shut down the water almost every week and it's been like this for months. We didn't have hot water during Christmas! It was freezing! Awful property managers, do yourself a favor and look some where else.

I give credit where it is due. The has changed over the years, and there have various issues along the way. Despite the challenges, the team has always been courteous and responsive. I made a complaint about a smoking resident and I received a response the same day. Within days, they found the resident and took action. They were even kind enough to send out a mass email per my request, just for my comfort. It's not perfect but it feels like home here. The maintenance team is great as well.

The suites are luxurious and have a modern feel. The management and staff are friendly and attentive to your needs.
I love that it is a secure building, (supposedly non-smoking) and that it is centrally located to downtown shops.
Staff are very friendly, professional and quick to respond to needs.
Solaire Silver Spring is where you want to live if you are looking for a home.

I moved here in the middle of the pandemic. I was super nervous because there were no in person tours. But I liked what I saw from the virtual tour and went for it! The apartments are lovely. Very modern and spacious! It checks off all of my requirements. The fitness center is one of my favorite amenities. It’s a great size and it has great equipment! Felicia ( at the front desk) is super sweet! She helped make my transition smooth. I felt very welcomed and at home when I first met her. She always has positive energy and great vibes! She helps this building feel like a real community. Bonus: my dog LOVES her! (Probably more than me at this point) lol.
This is the best place to live. You can check off all of the boxes. Friendly staff, great location, dog friendly, metro nearby, onsite parking. I love it.
I have lived at four other places in downtown Silver Spring, Solaire is by far the best apartment community. It a germ of a place. All common areas are prestine clean and smell fresh; Conveniently located to metro, bus depot, shops and restaurants; Units are spacious, with quality fixtures. Really, there is nothing lacking, including amenities. Let me not forget to mention the professional, friendly and resourceful staff. Special mention to Lisa who greeted residents on entering bhilding with warm infectious smile, where at the end of a long day makes one feel--I have arrived home. Excellent place to live.

I moved so solaire in June , and I was impressed by the very friendly staff, cleanliness of the building and the accessibility of the neighborhood to everything
I have never been so mad and frustrated about a situation ever which motivates me to find as many sites to let everyone know not to move here so no one else will experience the frustration and extreme anger I have! The management office is in charge of your billing for your monthly rent. They will make several mistakes posting it, whether its the amount, posting it late, etc and then send you nasty emails saying you are late and threaten you with legal actions. Talking to several residences this has happened to them before and the management office is definitely un apologetic unless you escalate the situation and their tone completely changes. Long story short the situation still has not been resolved, and they can apologize all they want, but the damage has already been done. I work for an organization with over 200k employees and we have a site to help each other with referrals of restaurants, places to vacation and places to live. I have always used that platform to always give positive reviews about every place! I am more than happy to use that platform to inform everyone in my company in over 46 states nation wide to never rent from Kettler/Leed/Solaire. If your looking for any apartment and you read this please don't bother with this company or building. You will most likely have a much better experience at any other community than this one!!!!!!

I've been here since the building opened. I absolutely love the location the building is always well maintained. I do feel that the response time of the leasing and management team is slow. It's not really an open door policy. In fact, they keep their office door locked completely! It's almost like they look at you weird and forbid you have a question about anything that's going on, you won't get a response. It's a smoke free building which is great but areas in the underground garage reek of cigarettes and marijuana. If you want a great space in a great location that's metro accessible, this is the place for you. There are so many pluses that would make this place ideal for anyone. Once you move in, good luck reaching leasing. My guess is when they switched mgmt company the service went down. They have also switched or had a high turn over of the leasing team. There is always a new face. The concierge is always polite and the gentleman that's there throughout the day is extremely pleasant. I gave it a 3 for mgmt staff.

Dollar for dollar, the best apartment in Silver Spring! Nicely designed apartments and common areas. One can tell that much thought and consideration was put into the planning and construction of this building.

Solaire Silver Spring is perfect because it is located in the heart of Silver Spring. The metro is a (BIG) hop, skip and a jump from the front door. I am a foodie and the restaurants are vast, whatever you have a taste for it is in the area. Now lets talk about the apartment the staff is amazing from the RSC's, housekeeping and leasing office. Everyone is always willing to help. The dogs rule this building. There are fresh dog treats at the front desk everyday and a dog park next to the building. I love it!!
Solaire is probably the best apartment in Downtown Silver Spring. The building is modern yet inviting, unlike others that can either feel cold or overwrought. Building has high quality materials throughout and I've never had an issue with noise. Too many amenities to list. Pets of all sizes are welcome. Not only is it right next to the metro (helpful when going into downtown DC) but it's surrounded by local restaurants and is three blocks from the downtown square. Finally, the staff is incredibly helpful and is always there 24/7.
This is the perfect building if you want a quick walk to the metro, great restaurants and outdoor space. The common areas are well maintained and staff incredibly helpful. Unlike other apartments in this area, it has two sizable outdoor amenity areas with a pool, lounge chairs, dining tables and grill.
My wife and I have lived at Solaire since the building opened. The building's amenities are very nice and management routinely holds events that are well-run. The front desk staff is mostly helpful and is staffed 24/7. Location-wise it is perfectly located near the metro and a slew of restaurants and bars nearby. You can easily walk to 3 different grocery stores and take advantage of everything downtown Silver Spring has to offer. Apartments are very quiet, I have never heard my neighbors in years of being in the unit.
