Located in the northern part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Hurst is a bustling suburb in the Mid-Cities region located 30 minutes from Dallas, 15 minutes from Fort Worth, and 20 minutes from the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Access to these areas is made even easier thanks to Interstate 820, which runs through town. Along this interstate, North East Mall, one of the state’s largest malls, and surrounding retailers find their homes. Shopping isn’t just confined to this thoroughfare; plazas filled with all the essentials as well as great dining options are located in other parts of the city as well. Take a break from shopping and go to one of the many parks and recreation facilities in town; indoor skydiving, Hurst Athletic Complex, and Chisholm Park are just a few of the outdoor adventures in town. The other parts of Hurst are made up of residential avenues holding a variety of rental options.

Property Ratings at The Boulders
We have lived here 4++ years and have seen it change. Preface: Prior to Boulders, we had not lived in an apartment for many years so, for all I know, all complexes are like this. GOOD STUFF: (1)The maintenance crew, though undermanned, is outstanding. Even for little things, they beam themselves to your door and have things fixed promptly. (2) Great location and access to shopping and services. (3) The people in the office try to be helpful and have evolved into being fairly friendly. However, they are at the mercy of their corporate supervisors and have very little decision-making power. (4) If you like birds and interesting trees, this is the place. The landscaping is pleasant. BAD STUFF: (1) The residential culture / neighborhood is slowly declining. You'd think that regular and significant rent increases would screen some discourteous people out, but it does not. Simple rules (putting out garbage, speed limit, picking up dog poop, pit bulls) are not followed or enforced. Be very careful backing out and don't let your kids play near the parking lot.(2) Noise from 820, loud cars and motorcycles, Alley Cats amusement center, people partying at odd hours or playing loud music can be significant. By all means, don't get a place by the pool. (3) The gate is a joke and security is a growing concern.(4) Management makes odd investment decisions and investment is very limited. For example, getting into the laundry room (often dirty) after a rain is mildly irritating because it is often muddy or very wet by the door. A simple, cheap retaining wall would fix it. Despite increases in rent, there has not been a dime invested in our apartment itself after 4++ years - no carpet cleaning, no upgrades. However, they are painting the entire complex on the outside to enhance the outward appearance to prospective renters. Anyway, problems and issues have more to do with the residents than the management. It's OK - just understand the deal.

Hello, We have tried to look you up in our system, however, we have not been successful. While we appreciate the honest feedback, we would like to apologize for the frustration you have been experiencing. We will continue to send out reminders to residents, reminding everyone to be mindful of others. We will put emphasis on cleaning up after their animals, abiding by community rules, and respectfully keep the noise down during the evenings. We will also be sure to address the gate issue. Resident safety is our top priority and our goal is to make sure your comfort and satisfaction are met. Please reach out to our office with any other questions or concerns you may have. Best Regards, The Boulders Team
It was pleasant living here during the first couple of months of moving in but now it's a living hell. There's loud talking and cars blasting music during the day and all throughout the night. Parents allow their children to run up and down the parking lot and stairs making loud noises and using vulgar language, kids running in and out of the onsite laundry room, throwing footballs around residents' cars, and sitting and dancing on the main electrical transformer that supplies power to the complex which is very dangerous. We've made several documented complaints to the leasing office, but all complaints have fallen on deaf ears and nothing has been resolved.
Looking to possibly relocate in the Hurst area. These apartments look very nice clean and updated. Sandra, the office manager, was so informative and helpful. Not only did she answer ALL of my questions about pricing and apartment layouts but gave me a lot of good information about the surrounding area and what it has to offer. Very hard these days to find people who are that friendly and helpful. Thanks! I would certainly make the Boulders my first choice!

The pricing on here is WAY off. We came to look because of the pricing, only to be told the real prices are at least $200 more than the posting says. So, just be prepared for the ol' switch-a-roo. The prices don't even reflect the non-renovated units. So for a renovated unit, the price difference was upwards of $300 more than the posted price.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to reach us regarding this feedback. We apologize that you did not have the best experience and would like to address your concerns. Rental rates fluctuate regularly in the apartment industry and that may be the reason noticed a change in pricing from the day you saw rental ranges compared to the day you visited the apartment community. This rate does change often so please check back again soon! We also have sister communities that may be more fitting for the home you are seeking. Please visit our website to discover more options at: www.simcmanagement.com. It is our understanding that there are several websites which are reflecting outdated rental rates from 5 years ago; however, we are not able to modify their information. Unfortunately it leaves home seekers like yourself in a misinformed state which can cause frustration. We can advise visiting the property website or contacting the community directly prior to visiting so that you may avoid this confusion going forward. We want to make your residency with us the best possible experience and hope you will visit us again soon. If there is anything we can do to help you in the future, please let us know. –SIMC Resident Services
We've lived here for 3 years, and have had absolutely nothing replaced, upgraded or fixed in this time, yet they've raised our rent about 200 dollars. Small gym, can't go into the pool after sunset, dirty volleyball court, unhelpful maitenance people. . It's very safe here, but overall, just not that great.
I'VE LIVED HERE FOR 5 MONTHS NOW AND CAN'T COMPLAIN TOO MUCH. THESE ARE VERY NICE APARTMENTS FOR THE PRICE. I HAVE A 2 BEDROOM WITH A ROOMMATE FOR $1005. THE OFFICE STAFF IS GREAT, I'VE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM. THE PROPERTY IS VERY WELL KEPT, WE HAVE NEVER HAD TO CALL MAINTENANCE FOR ANY REASON. PARKING ISN'T TOO BAD, AND IT'S MOSTLY QUIET. THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS MY UPSTAIRS NEIGHBORS SEEM TO COME ALIVE AFTER MIDNIGHT, BUMPING, LOUD THUDS, LIKE THEY'RE JUMPING AROUND ALL NIGHT.
My roommate and I have lived at The Boulders since December of 2014. It's both of ours first apartment and honestly we couldn't have made a better choice. The office staff is friendly and quick to help with any questions or needs. The maintenance staff is quick and effective. When our A/C unit went out one night, they had a new one installed the very next day! In terms of location, The Boulders is in a good spot. You can get on the freeway and be almost anywhere in minutes. One concern when we moved in was the potential noise from the freeway. But even at the front office, it's set far enough back that you can't hear anything from it at all. I'll definitely be renewing my lease!
I've lived here for 11 years! I moved here because it was convenient for work but have stayed because it is convenient to everything-family, shopping, medical providers, access to entertainment, and easy to get anywhere in the DFW Metroplex. The property is well-maintained and the service when needed is excellent. I lived here when I was working, now live here after retirement, so I think I'll stay awhile!
This apartment is our first in almost a decade due to a work move. I have to say, there are pros and cons. After having to down size to an apartment, it has been very hard! It has limited cabinet space in the kitchen, if you have an established collection of utensils but prefect for the young couple starting off. I love the huge tubs! The balcony could have been a little bigger but we have enough space for the two chairs and a small table. The staff is always very pleasant and very good with names! The living room is pretty spacious. The dining room is pretty small...it might accommodate a breakfast table. I really do like this apartment but some neighbors can be noisy at times.
