Just north of one of the busiest sections of San Antonio lies an area unadulterated by the typical sights and sounds associated with the big city. The Redland area presents a subdued rural charm while allowing easy access to modern conveniences. In this popular suburb on the outskirts of town, you will find generously spaced houses without sacrificing the comfort that comes from a closely-knit neighborhood.
The neighborhood sits about 16 miles northeast of the city's center, so its conveniences are well within reach. Within Redland, however, there’s plenty to experience. Gold Canyon Park has plenty of trails to hike, and Northwoods Shopping Center will take care of your daily needs and then some.

Comfortable place to live. If the rent hadn’t increased I would’ve continued to live here.

Hi User thank you for posting your positive review. At The Redland, we value your time and always strive to provide fast and efficient service. We are so pleased to hear our service was satisfactory . We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
I never write review's but people need to know this place does not care about it's residents! The will make mistakes so they can blame you for their incompetence and extort money from you. So my family has been living here for a little over a year now. Unfortunately when it came time to renew our lease this placed dropped the ball and decided to blame us! We received the notice to renew our lease months ago before our lease was over. We called and spoke to Kendra about renewing for another 13 months. She told us that we were good to go but needed to wait until it was closer to our lease ending before we could sign a new lease agreement. Now I found that odd, why couldn't just sign a new lease that day and then it would be on file for later? We did have to send updated renters insurance to them before we could sign the new lease so they have proof of that. Well we waited and waited but no phone call or email in regards to our lease. Having a 4 year old keeps us busy so we don't have a lot of time to constantly checkin in with them to make sure they do their job. When April rent rolled around and I go to pay... to my surprise we are being charged month to month prices! We immediately went to talk to the office and Kendra admitted to forgetting to make a note about our renewal so that's why we got put on month to month. Well after speaking to Jennifer her property manager the best they can do for us is give us the current going rate for our apartment which is $300 more a month than the $50 it was supposed to go up (Our apartment is not newly renovated btw). Because the rates changed for the summer and had we contacted them sooner about their mistake we could have gotten the situation resolved. Jennifer blamed us for not recognizing that our agreement was up because they have so many residents and property to manage that they can't do their job. So now we have to sign a new lease that is $300 more a month or move out... This place really cares about it's residents... is a fictional statement!

We are sorry that there has been confusion. We did not know you were planning on renewing your lease. This mix-up was not intentional, as it is never our goal to inconvenience our residents. Sincerely, Jennifer M., Community Manager theredlandmgr@cushwake.com
Never answers their phone. Rude staff. Never enough parking. Maintenance response time is OK.
Extremely poor communication skills. Office staff has zero phone etiquette. Their system is extremely flawed and will penalize you with late fees

I waited over a year to write this to making sure I was out of these apartments to write my honest review about the management and my experience of Redland apartments. Personally, living abroad for over 5 years and coming back to such a low standard quality especially in customer service as an American standard Redland management was a disgrace and dishonorable for my entire experience at The Redland. I want to inform the potential future clients of Redland who plan on moving into these apartments; my experience with the management at The Redland. I do want to make this short as possible for this here's following list is a brief warning before considering moving into these apartments. 1) The management here is unbelievably the lowest rating score in my experience! That alone should make you second guess your decision about moving in. One of the many issues living here was my mailbox being tampered with and not being informed of the matter. After two weeks not receiving anything, I contacted the office to know what was happening to all my mail? And they informed me that they sent everyone an email whose mailbox was tampered (a few buildings involved) with regarding this issue which was clearly untrue. I received nothing, not even in my spam. And when I spoke to others in my building they said they did not receive one email or text or call concerning the mailbox being tampered with. It was always a constant battle with the management and empty promises that they never followed through with! 2) No Parking space for residents! 3) Had personal cars towed, "accidentally" due to lack of communication and right signage from Management! Costing over $400 worth. "Not my problem? You need to contact the towing company. " Management. 4) Trash over flowing into the road and smells horrific. It takes several phone calls...DAYS, for Management to get back to get take care of it. 5) Took weeks(sometimes months) for someone to come and fix things in the apartment I was renting. Overall, I would not recommend The Redland Apartments.

I have lived here for over 2 yrs. At first it was nice. but over time the niceties became a problem. There are several lights (walking trail, hanging decorative, building security lights) that have been burnt out or broken for years! If you request anything from maintenance it takes months, light bulbs, toilet seat, etc.... They lock the security gate open all the time, with no notice to residents, and the manager will tell you its not for security,(why do we need a code) plus the security guard that they tell you about when you move in doesn't exist. When covid hit, they decided that the pool should close early, 5:30pm, so if you have a job, you can only use it on the weekends. Also if you complain about anything, the manager will most likely leave you an extremely un professional voicemail mocking you about inconveniencing you. This property has the potential to be nice, but seriously needs a new manager that has a clue what customer service is, and the manitenance team needs to be fired. Also, they make you pay for a parking sticker, but they have more tenants than spaces, so you pay $100 for each sticker, and still might have to park down the street, and the manager will offer you $5 off a covered parking spot. Bottom line they only care about money! watch the KSAT defenders, our apartments fell apart during the freeze, and their forcing us to live in a construction zone with no compensations or discounts of anykind. Garbage!!!!!!

WARNING - DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! The one star is for the office staff. They are fantastic and as helpful as they are able to be, but the good of this place comes to a screeching halt after that. I moved in at the beginning of October. The apartment was NOT ready by any means. Paint everywhere. Carpet newly installed and frayed at every wall. Had obviously never been vacuumed. Toilet ran nonstop. Drains did not drain. Garbage did not - and STILL does not - work after supposedly having been repaired. Fire alarms go off at least once a week at all hours, despite having been replaced TWICE. There is a leak on the side of the building at a hose bib that has not been addressed - mind you, a water leak that now the entire building gets to pay for. My car was broken into in the "high-security" gated parking lot and the parking sticker and remote card were stolen, which is apparently now up to ME to pay $150 to replace. Now, beginning January 1st, there is no guest parking after 10pm unless you pay for a carport or garage. So now I have to PAY to have friends past 10pm?? Oh no, they are offering the SIX parking spaces at the front of the community as guest parking for the ENTIRE complex. This place is a total rip. You pay one of the highest rates in the area to live like this. Please be warned, DO NOT LIVE HERE! Learn from my mistake!!

Went to the Redlands to visit my sister and stopped in the office to take a look. As soon as I walked in a lady named Susan greeted me right away and ask if I would like a fresh cookie. I was so surprised how nice everyone was. If I didn't already have a house I would live at the Redland Apartments.

This was a good place to live. I have lived there coming up to 2 years. Pinnacle Property Management is horrible. When it was United Property management the staff was friendly, attentive, and compassionate. The main property manager advertised her phone number and you could reach them at any time. With Pinnacle Property Management it doesn't matter how many times you ask to speak with the property manager, you will never get to speak with her. The office staff is hit or miss, often times they will be rude and mean. They never notify you when they are doing renovations and maintenance on your building. We have had clothes ruined by rubbing against a wall with wet paint outside. The maintenance staff is non existence after hours. We had the AC go out and called the office and left a message for maintenance. The next day the office staff acted like there was never an issue. Maintenance emergencies do exist especially in the south Texas summers and there should be staff available to handle these situations. We also had a grill turn up missing. This grill was found outside the maintenance staffs garage. Upon confronting the office staff about it the lady was rude and said to keep the grill put up. Summing it all up means if you want to be ignored, stolen from, mistreated, and abused this apartment community is for you! If you want to be treated like a human being and expect a level of professionalism from your apartment community management, rent somewhere else!
Apartments here themselves are nice. Compared to most of the apartments I saw in the city, the carpet, walls and appliances are clean and fairly updated. The pool and pool areas are well maintained and clean. However, my particular apartment is above the dog walk/park and that is not maintained. It is hot here and baking dog feces does not smell good. I cannot go out on my patio. I have reported a few people that don't pick up after their dog. Office says yes they know about those people but those same people continue to arrive and depart the area without cleaning up after their dogs. Problem is that, the staff doesn't either. Kitchens are extremely small, parking is scarce. And there are no trails/or area's for walking or jogging. traffic in the area is horrible and getting worse because of all the apartments and offices being built. And finally, compared to rest of the city, the price of the rent here is high.
