Highlight your property’s hospital access
Access to a hospital or medical center can be an important consideration for renters, whether they work in the health care industry or have a medical need that requires access to care.
If your community is within a 10-mile radius of a major hospital or medical center, renters can now use this information to find you. This type of search is supported for over 5,000 hospitals across all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Nearby hospitals are also shown on your Apartments.com listing, alongside other points of interest, like parks, military bases, and shopping centers.
Homes styles help renters refine their search
Looking to lease up a new property? Now renters who prefer newly built apartments can find your new-construction property easily, within the New Construction filter, available under the Home Styles section. This filter helps renters find recently built properties, as well as new communities that are under construction and coming soon.
Renters seeking out small and mid-sized properties can apply the Fewer than 50 Units filter to refine their search. And renters looking for properties under five units can select the Duplex filter to find the listings that meet their needs.
For renters in New York City, new home styles now include Walk-Up, Brownstone, and Pre-War.

Renters can look for move-in specials
Price comes up again and again as renters’ top consideration when searching for an apartment. If you’re offering concessions on your available units to attract new renters, you can easily connect with budget-conscious renters seeking out these specials. A new filter lets renters limit their search to listings that feature move-in specials.
More options for short-term and nontraditional rentals
It’s easier for renters to find the short-term rentals that meet their needs. The options for short-term rentals have been expanded to include a range of options:
- 1–2 months
- 3–4 months
- 5–6 months
- Under 12 months
If you offer short-term leases, you can now easily connect with renters interested in the same lease length you offer. By driving searches that are a closer match, this refined search functionality helps increase the quality of your leads.
(And when it comes to corporate short-term housing, don’t forget about CorporateHousing.com, one of the specialized sites within the Apartments.com Network.)
And that’s not all. Renters looking for nontraditional rentals can also filter by these criteria:
- Properties for rent by owner
- Rooms for rent
Go broker-free in NYC
New York City renters looking to avoid broker fees can now search for properties that don’t require a broker fee. This option is available in all five boroughs.

A more refined search means more serious leads
When renters have more comprehensive search options, it’s easier for them to find listings that meet their needs, streamlining their search and reducing low-quality leads for you. This helps you connect with renters who are the best fit for your available units.
