Apartment Onsite Teams Day 2025: Celebrating Multifamily Property Staff

Where would the multifamily industry be without the hardworking property staff who keep operations running every day? Onsite staff members like your leasing agents, property managers, maintenance techs, and housekeepers are the backbone of multifamily.

That’s why we’re proud to sponsor Apartment Onsite Teams Day this year. Designated by the National Apartment Association, this annual event falls on Wednesday, April 16 in 2025.

Every year, Apartment Onsite Teams Day honors the hundreds of thousands of multifamily professionals who work at properties around the country.

This day is in the middle of NAA’s RPM Careers Week, a weeklong celebration of everyone who works in residential property management.

And as part of this year’s celebration, we’re highlighting three special team members for their contributions to their apartment communities.

Meet the onsite superstars

We asked you about your onsite superstars, and the response was overwhelming. Hundreds of you shared stories about the colleagues who go above and beyond to help your communities and residents. You told us about their infectious enthusiasm, great sense of humor, and deep sense of empathy for their residents.

But of the hundreds of onsite team submissions, we could only pick three for the $1,500 grand prize. Here are the outstanding individuals who won this year’s contest:

  • Kelly Chavez of Quail Run Apartments in Vancouver, Washington. As the assistant property manager, Kelly is “the nerve center of our property,” said her colleague Alexander Nice. “She answers the phones, tours the units, jokes with residents, and always finds a way to make the day better!”
  • Miguel “Mikey” Moncada of K Street Flats in Berkeley, California. Mikey was nominated by his manager, Alesia Williams. She described him as the best maintenance supervisor she’s ever worked with and said he has an “unmatched” work ethic.
  • Sandra Wallace of Town Creek Apartments in Columbiana, Alabama. This property manager was praised for her warm heart. “She is kind to everyone,” said Cindy Music, who nominated her for the prize. “She’s very understanding and will give tenants the time when they just want somebody to talk to.”
